Dabur Amla Flower Magic Hair Oil

My Take on Dabur Amla Flower Magic Hair Oil:

It comes in a slender, transparent, plastic bottle with a flip cap. The bottle is quite sturdy and the oil doesn’t leak from the cap if the bottle is turned upside down.  The oil appears to be of light green color in the bottle, but when taken out, its actually transparent. True to its claim, it has floral fragrance. Fragrance is quite strong, so some people might be sensitive to it, but personally I love the fragrance. Once I had applied this oil when I was in the hostel, and people were actually asking me which oil I had applied because they liked the fragrance a lot.

This oil is non-sticky, again true to its claim. Its watery in consistency and feels very light. I have never been uncomfortable applying it in summers and keeping it overnight. It doesn’t drip onto my face with sweat, neither does it leave any stain on pillow covers. After applying the oil, my hand doesn’t feel sticky at all. It gives me an advantage when I don’t feel like washing my hands with cold water in winters.  It gets absorbed easily. Another advantage of this oil is that it doesn’t freeze in winters.

Dabur Amla Flower Magic Hair Oil

I am using this oil since 6 months and its my second bottle. I am absolutely in love with this oil. I apply it twice a week, either 2 hours before shampooing my hair or rarely a night before shampooing. Oil comes out easily. I don’t need to shampoo twice to take it out and the difference in my hair can be felt in a single wash only. It leaves my hair shiny and soft after a single wash.

It has reduced split ends and my hair grows at a faster speed than usual now. My hair fall has reduced considerably. The frizziness of my hair has reduced a lot. I love touching my hair now because they feel so soft and silky.

    1. You are welcome Jabberwocky. 🙂 The floral smell in this oil definitely masks the smell of amla. U should try this. i hope it works for you. 🙂

  4. These oils dont have silicones in them do they ? I have a feeling they do owing to their non sticky texture and silky results. Parachute ones do. I only use the edible olive oil for my hair nowadays..Please clear my doubts.

    1. Hi Arja. I am really sorry I have no answer for this question. 🙁 silicon isnt mentioned in the ingredients or on the net, so may be it doesnt have. but i am nowhere near sure.
May be someone else can help us with this query.

  5. Whoa! I have been an Amla oil fan for 6 months now but I can’t stand the smell. Usually, I tend to add some essential oil or the other to mask the stink. Thanks for this review, Surbhi! I am going to go and try this floral version instead. 😀
