Dabur Uveda Review

Dabur uveda: Skin Care Expert from Ayurveda

Dabur Uveda Skincare

This was launched by dabur last year and they chose vidya balan to endorse this range. The range has some fairness products and a clarifying face wash for oily skin too. some of these are available in a larger size and a pump bottle as well. The catch is that I had read on the net that this was launched only in maharashtra and adjoining places as a test. As of now I am not sure where else is it available. You guys can let me know.

Dabur uveda Moisturising face wash(normal to dry skin) (Neem raktachnadan honey) Dabur Uveda Moisturizing Face Wash Clean soft skin that glows from within

  • What the pack says:(Price Rs 50 for 50 ml when I bought it)
  • How is uveda moisturising face wash different from other face washes? It presents an alternate way to skin care. Its unique ayurvedic ingredients not only cleanse the skin but also replenish moisture in the inner layers of the skin.
  • How do ayurvedic ingredients work? Neemchaal purifies skin with its antimicrobial effect.  Raktachandan with honey helps keep skin moisturised and radiant
  • How to use: Gently massage on moist skin and rinse thoroughly
  • Proven results: On application visibly clean glowing skin
  • Key ingredients: extracts of neemchaal and raktachnadan, honey, walnut shell powder, glycerin, xylitylglucoside, anhydroxylitol, xylitol and NMF

Dabur Uveda Moisturizing Face Wash What I like about this product:

  • The gel is very light and lathers mildly for a creamy wash
  • The gel has mild scrubbing action with the extracts mentioned above
  • The price is great for the quantity
  • It cleans the skin well
  • I am happy with the natural ingredients
  • Removes oil from my skin well even though the product is not meant for oily skin
  • Flip cap makes it great to carry around for travelling
  • Over all, its an above average to good product. I may try their other products in their range but not sure about repurchasing it.
  • Rating :star: :star: :star:

Dabur Uveda 2 in 1 Moisturiser SPF 8 (jasthimadhu, kesar, grutkumari, raktachandan)

Dabur Uveda 2 in 1 Moisturiser SPF 8

  • Hydrates for 24 hrs+ protects (Price Rs 62 for 50 ml when I bought it)
  • Dabur Uveda 2-in-1 Moisturiser presents an alternate way to skin moisturising. It has unique Ayuredic ingredients that help build a reservoir of moisture in the inner layers of the skin that keeps skin hydrated for 24 hours and also protects the skin from damages due to the sun’s radiation. With daily use, your skin becomes soft, hydrated and glows from within.
  • How is Dabur Uveda different from other moisturizers? Unlike other moisturizers, Dabur Uveda 2-in-1 Moisturiser has unique Ayurvedic ingredients that help build a reservoir of moisture from within, keeping skin soft and hydrated for 24 hours.
  • How to use? Wash your face, then gently apply Dabur Uveda 2-in-1 Moisturizer.
  • Key ingredients: extracts of jasthimadhu. Kesar, raktachandan and gritkumari, glycerin, xylitylglucoside, anhydroxylitol, xylitol

Dabur Uveda 2 in 1 Moisturiser SPF 8 What I like about this product:

  • SPF 8 for sun protection even indoors(they say that u need sun protection indoors too)
  • Texture is thick and creamy and light peach in color
  • The fragrance is like ponds cold cream
  • The rounded top of the bottle and the flip cap
  • The lotion is very creamy so you will need very less for faster absorption
  • Leaves skin touch ably soft and kinda evens out skin
  • Nominally priced
  • I now use it as a body lotion as it leaves a greasy trace even on the normal skin of my hands. You can ideally use it for dry skin for mild sun protection.

What I dislike about this product:

  • It leaves my face greasy
  • Totally not for people with oily to combination skin
  • The packaging in red is a bit over the top to be frank. I think the attempt is to distinguish themselves from other brands
  • Rating :star: :star: :star:

Dabur Uveda I don’t mind trying their other products. Over all, these are above average products but I like the ayurvedic claims. I may try the clarifying face wash too.

  1. Oh no…..greasy………….I will run away from it….again and again, I feel so good that you too have oily skin……and thank you for reviewing all these things….Neha….. :-))

    1. :-*
      u r the sweetest
ya u can avoid the moisturizer but try their clarifying face wash…i have not yet but keen
as it is for oily skin
is it available in ur city though?

      1. Thanx Neha….Mwaah ………….NOt heard yet Neha, but will try on your recommendation….what else do-at-home facials do you use…it wold be wonderful if you could review them as welll……………. 🙂

  2. It is available at most cosmetic stores here in Delhi. 🙂

Glad you did the review. Atleast now I know about the range. They did promote it at quite a larger scale with Vidya Balan. And suddenly now I see no ads… Will explore this range. Thanks for the review, Neha. 🙂

    1. oh so it did well i guess and then they launched all over
beacuse initially they were waiting for good responses to take it ahead i read

  3. i have the uveda moisturiser but the one in pump form. i have dry skin and can you believe it, this didn’t work for me even though it left your face greasy. it actually dried out my skin further and after an hour or so, the moisturiser flaked and started falling off my face! i thought i was applying too much so i applied less the next time, but the same thing happened again! this is totally not for me. i use it on my arms and legs now and strangely it doesn’t flake there.
.-= Rima Kaur´s last blog ..Beneath The Smiles =-.

  4. I’m so happy with all these ayurvedic products being launched all the time…they’re so much more affordable the Shanaz Hussain’s stuff (which for the longest time were my HG ayurvedic cosmetics..now replaced by Himalaya).
On average how do these compare to Himalaya products?

  5. hvnt tried Uveda range yet…might just try the facewash…the moisturizer doesnt look any good after reading ur review and the comments

    1. I got a bad bad rash and itch after using Uveda clarifying face wash.. And the moisturizer smells strongly of chameli

  6. Neha – you beat me to it – the uveda review i mean 🙂 I had picked it a month ago and was weary it wasnt reviewed but thought i may as well do it…I quite like both! While the facewash is nothing special as you said, the moisturiser works great for me – spf8 being the attraction.
the sound of natural ingredients in it is like salvage to the facial soul distraught with other chemicals 🙂

    1. yeah ..read u are based in pune… 🙂
and also i dont like the grease factor of the moisturiser
it does even out skin tone though…

  7. Dear Neha- good review. You did not talk about the Dabur Ayuveda Clarifying facewash. Did you find it helpful? I tried in all Mumbai stores, none have it., my sister gave me one which she bought many months ago.
Is it available where you live? I would like to get one

  8. Actually this worked amazingly well on my mom’s skin. She’s 50+ and lives in Mumbai. Even in the humid weather, she just loves it. Any other cream simply makes her break out (yeah she gets acne at her age too!). But this one cream she’s stuck to since the past 1 year! N her facial skin looks so much better! Her skin has evened out beautifully and her age spots have lightened. N she’s the kind of person who doesn’t even know what CTM means and visits the parlour probably once in 6 months for her eyebrows only (that too after lots of cajoling on my part)! 🙂
For me, I like it for Bangalore winters. Suits my skin and though its a fairness cream doesn’t give me the ghostly look. Under humid and hot conditions however it makes my skin a bit greasy.
