Today, I will be reviewing Dabur Vatika Garlic Enriched Hair Oil.

Product Description:

Since ancient times Garlic is known to promote natural hair growth. Garlic is a rich source of minerals for both healthy scalp and hair. This formulation is scientifically formulated to fortify hair strands to control hair breakage and reveilles and infuse hair with extra strength, shine and smoothness.

Directions of Use:

Apply 1 to 2 tea spoons (up to 10 ml) to your hair and using your fingertips gently massage Dabur Vatika Garlic Enriched Hair Oil into scalp and hair roots, leave for some time (ideally 1 hour). Massage the shampoo well into hair and scalp, rinse thoroughly.

My Take on Dabur Vatika Garlic Enriched Hair Oil:

I like this product very much. Initially, I was a bit worried with it containing garlic as I did not want to be smelling like one, but it surprised me that it does not smell like garlic at all. In fact it has a very sweet scent with floral notes in it. It is a delight to smell and it does not bother me even if I keep it for the whole day.

The oil itself is very light, not at all sticky and gets absorbed into my dry hair fairly well. It is a beautiful, clear, yellow shade oil and promoted good shine to the hair. I would say it sort of lives up to the claim of promoting hair growth. I would say my hair does seem healthier after every use and hair fall seems to be lessening slowly over time. Though I have not yet seen amazingly lush hair yet.

The only thing I don’t like is the packaging. It is a plastic bottle with a screw cap and a wide opening to let the oil out. It is very risky and very prone to spillage and I usually end up pouring more in my hands than I intend to. It is very frustrating.

Overall, a very good product, I definitely recommend.
