A couple of days ago, I went to pick up sunscreen and ended up picking few more drugstore stuff for reviews. Today’s review is about the not so long ago launched Dabur Vatika Moroccan Argan Enriched Hair Oil. Even reading the word Argan Oil in any product makes me excited to see how the outcome is; let’s read on how it fared for my damaged, thin and lifeless hair.
Dabur Vatika Moroccan Argan Enriched Hair Oil keeps hair silky and damage free, provides intensive care without leaving a greasy feel. Argan oil conditions your hair to make it soft and moisturize naturally. Perfect remedies for all your hair problems.
Price: $2.15 for 100 ml.
My take on Dabur Vatika Moroccan Argan Enriched Hair Oil:
Unlike the usual transparent bottle of dabur vatika hair oils, this one comes in a tinted brown bottle to protect the Argania Spinosa (Argan Oil extract) present in the hair oil. It doesn’t have a nozzle inside, which makes the product messy to use. It is travel friendly but do ensure to seal it with packing tape to avoid spillage which can lead to complete mess in luggage.
Inside is transparent and runny hair oil which isn’t sticky on palm. The product description says it is non-greasy hair oil; which isn’t true. You can’t expect the same results as you get from OGX hair oils. It definitely makes hair oily and it is better be used as overnight hair oil. It is easy to rinse off and rinses oil completely in one wash and leaves no sticky or greasy residue behind. As per the label, it is formulated to provide moisture to dull, damaged, dry and lifeless hair along with repairing them to obtain soft, silky and elastic tresses. It claims to be infused with anti-oxidants, vitamin E and Argan extracts. Discussing the claims and validate on a 2-week usage, it definitely makes hair soft and silky with added shine when rinsed off.
However, there isn’t any considerable effect on reducing hair fall or repairing damaged tresses. Any oil should definitely add moisture to dry hair and so does Dabur Vatika Moroccan Argan Enriched Hair Oil. But there isn’t any increased elasticity to reduce breakage, it controls frizz, detangles and it favors easy styling with manageable hair. It doesn’t make scalp oily, and didn’t experience any increased volume in my thin hair. Also, the amount of Argan extract seems too little to do any significant change in overall health of thin and damaged hair but for such an average price tag, I shouldn’t expect a miracle. Lastly, it smells divine!
Summing it up in pros and cons:

Cons of Dabur Vatika Moroccan Argan Enriched Hair Oil:
- Very insignificant amount of Argan Extract, which can’t be disguised just by putting the product in tinted bottle!
- The packaging needs improvement.
- Doesn’t do anything to improve thin hair and increase volume.
IMBB Rating: 3/5
Do I Recommendation/Repurchase Dabur Vatika Moroccan Argan Enriched Hair Oil?
It is recommended, if you are just looking for an overnight oil to moisturize hair and doesn’t expect any Argan Oil nourishment from the product. I will not repurchase and stay with my regular olive oils for my hair treatment.
