Another trick is, apply lipstick and then form an ‘O’ by your lips.
Once done, put the index finger through the ‘O’ in your mouth and pull your index finger out.
This removes the lipstick on the inner rim of the lips thus avoiding the staining.
I always do this ( especially when applying dark lippie) and it has never failed me.
Note: Please clean the index finger before doing this
