Daily Beauty Tips: Wake Up With Smooth Skin

Add a small amount of Alpha hydroxy acid exfoliator to your nightime moisturizer. It will exfoliate the top layer of your skin while you are asleep. Find your skin smooth in the morning when you wake up. 🙂

  1. Hi prachi,

Welcome to IMBB. 🙂 Yeah the Vit E capsule tip is fantastic.

Look for AHAs in your scrub, ST Ives Apricot Scrub has AHAs in it. You would be able to get it at any cosmetics shop or even some medical shops.

  2. But how do we apply mix exfoliator to the moisturiser and leave it on ? I mean is it ok to leave on an exfoliator whole night long ?

  3. Hey everyone!
AHAs are found in avariety of natural products….Widely used alpha hydroxy acids include:
Glycolic acid – derived from sugar cane
Lactic acid – derived from milk
Malic acid – derived from apples and pears
Mandelic acid – derived from almonds
Tartaric acid – derived from grapes
Citric acid – derived from citrus fruits
So basically these natural ingredients have AHAs and we already knw hw face-packs made from these benefit the skin.
Also AHAs are used in chemical peels in concentrations of 20-40% as well hence the smooth skin…..but they cause photo-sensitivity if used in concentrations higher than 8% on a regular basis…..so if adding to ur night creams you should look out for concentrations less than 8%…hope this was helpful!…take care!
P.S: Rati I loved ur Singapore haul!!  :inlove: ….been a bit busy wid work so couldnt comment there…bt I saw the AHA tip n had to clarify….hope u don’t mind :-))
