It’s been forever since I last wrote due to the busy schedule of my life these days. Finally I got some time and decided to do one of my favourite things- write articles! Though the winters are far gone, dry hands is still an issue which seems to be bothering people who have dry skin, like me, throughout the year. So today I will be sharing with you some ways you can make your hands softer easily. Hope you find this useful. 🙂
The first step on every routine is to clean in order to get rid of all the nasty germs. Hence clean your hands with a hand wash thoroughly. Pat them dry.
Exfoliation removes all dead skin and makes the surface of your hands smother. Homemade scrubs are always easy to do and free of all chemicals. So here are a few options of homemade exfoliators you can try..
• Brown Sugar And Honey Scrub
Take 2 tbsp of brown sugar and mix with 1-2 tbsp of honey. Next use this to scrub in circular motions.
• Olive Oil, Sugar And Coffee Scrub
As you may be have guessed, just mix olive oil, granulated sugar and coffee together and use in circular motions.
• Almond And Milk Scrub
Take a few almonds and grind them in your blender. Now add raw milk with the almonds and use to scrub your hands.
The way you use a face mask after exfoliating your face, here you have to use a hand mask! It sounds really weird, but this really helps to soften your hands. Here a few easy options, out of which you could try the one you find satisfying..
• Honey And Ghee
Take equal quantities of both honey and ghee and mix them together. Although both of these ingredients won’t mix extremely well, you will get a paste, which you can apply to your hands and leave for 10 minutes.
• Milk Cream And Honey
Take one tbsp milk cream with 1 tbsp honey and mix well together. Leave for 10 minutes and then wash your hands.
• Yogurt And Papaya
Take 1 tbsp of yogurt and mashed papaya; add some lemon juice and honey. Leave for a few minutes and then wash.
Now at this stage your hands must be nice and soft. But if you have some time and you want to do a little extra to get amazingly soft hands, cleansing is a must. Just take 2 tbsp of raw milk and add in a few drops of rose water. Apply this solution to your hands until its dry; wash with lukewarm water. This will help you lighten the complexion of your hands due to the presence of milk.
A massage will promote circulation in your hands and of course keep them soft for a longer period of time. Take a few drops of oil and massage each hand for 3-4 minutes. It is always better to use natural oils for this, so try using either Olive oil, Coconut oil or Jojoba oil.
Voila I bet your hands would be nice and soft now! Though it takes 20-30 minutes to follow the entire routine, but it’s definitely worth it!
• Most hand creams do not have SPF in them. Hence you must apply sunscreen on your hands before stepping out in the sun.
• Carry a small hand moisturizer in your bag all the time. After every time you wash your hands, do not forget to moisturize.
• Incase you don’t have time to follow up the entire routine, at least make it a habit to massage your hands with oil every night.
• Use hand washes that are mild.
• Stay hydrated!
• From time to time, make sure to use turmeric mixed with any of the recipes above in order to get rid of tanning.
