I am dark skinned and have combination-oily skin. I love the smokey eyes effect but not sure whether it will suit my skin tone. Also can you tell me if face & eye primers are available in india (apart from Clinique and L’Oreal brands)? I am yet to find my perfect match foundation and in the search for it. Have been blending my CLinique Gel moisturisers with my Clinique almost perfect foundation for a light coverage on a daily basis. Is this correct? Or should they be applied separately. Should I apply my sunscreen after the foundation is set? I live in chennai.

What you are doing is perfect actually. I myself mix my concealers and foundations so many times and use them. they give a nice dewy finish. Apply the sunscreen before. MAC paints pots and MAC paints are available as eye primers. mac prep and prime base visage is the face primer.

As for eye primers the MAC Paintpots are good….You could also try the Too Faced Shadow Insurance and the Urban Decay Primer Potion (both are available for purchase online.)

Hi Lalitha..I wouldnt suggest you to wear foundation on daily basis but rather go for tinted moisturizers..if you want a foundation for daily purpose use something which is not very heavy and gives light feeling..i have been using bourjois healthy mix foundation..its very very good..gives very light coverage and is natural with sweet smell..its perfect for daily wear!
Pls apply sunscreen before your foundation/concealer, as suggested by Rati MAC Paint pots are very good eye shadow base :waytogo: go to mac store and check out soft ochre, groundwork and painterly..even mac paint tubes is something i am eyeing as it has all neutral colors and would suit warm and dusky skin tones a lot..I too am NC40-42 in mac 🙂
If you have oily acne prone skin then try using Lacto Calamine as moisturizer the purple one..its fabulous! Nothing keeps my face oily free as this one! It has amazing oil absorbing properties…infact even my dermatologist suggested me to use Lacto Calamine instead of sunscreen..apparently sunscreen blocks pores :shutmouth:
