Darphin Orange Blossom Aromatic Care Oil, Rodial Super Acids X-Treme Hangover Mask, Shiseido Urban Environment UV Protection Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Review

Hi Everyone, 🙂

I am reviewing 3 skincare products that I have been using for months now. They have become a regular part of my skincare routine now and I absolutely enjoy using them. 🙂

Darphin Orange Blossom Aromatic Care Oil, Rodial Super Acids X-Treme Hangover Mask, Shiseido Urban Environment UV Protection Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Review

The first one is:

Darphin Orange Blossom Aromatic Care Oil (Price : USD80/INR 5200 for 15ml):

I discovered Darphin during my last trip to Paris. It is a French pharmacy brand and what an absolute amazing one. I have already finished using this oil and repurchased another one from the range. This oil is a blend of 7 precious oils – Orange Blossom, Lemon, Carrot, Lavender, Chamomille, Bilberry and Cranberry. It comes packed in this little glass bottle. It is a very basic and functional glass bottle. The opening of the bottle is pretty big so you have to be careful with the amount of product. You warm the oil between you hands and pat it on your skin. You have to wait for the oil to sink in, so if you are in a hurry, you can use it only on your drier areas. For night, you can use it on its own.

The oil feels lightweight on the skin. It sinks in nicely without leaving any trace of oil behind. You can also use it as a serum underneath your moisturiser. It has never broken me out. Sometimes, I even mix it with my foundation for that extra boost of moisture. Even in such extreme cold weather, it has kept my skin hydrated and moisturised. It does not exactly smell citrusy (which I would have preferred) it smells nice floral(y) mixed fragrance of other oils present in this oil. The only con is that this tiny bottle is too expensive for the product, but it lasts me good 2-3 months with quite a regular use. A little goes a long way. I personally absolutely love this and have already repurchased another Darphin oil already. My favourite oil is definitely from Clarins, but this has become my next favourite oil for sure. 🙂

Rodial Super Acids X-Treme Hangover Mask:

(Price €25.00/INR 1700 approximately). I was looking for an acid-based clay mask that could help in clearing my pores. My skin went through a bad phase, so I really had to test and try a lot of products that could help in calming my skin and bringing it back to its original state. This mask includes Pronalen Fruit Acid that helps in eliminating dead skin cells. Glycolic acid helps in resurfacing the skin. It is also an anti-ageing mask. It is a clay mask so it is great for those with oily/combination skin girls as well. It dries within 5 minutes of application, you rub off most of it and then rinse the rest with warm water. I mostly just let it be for longer. The rubbing off the mask helps in exfoliating the skin but you don’t have to do it every time. It is a bit messy process too, so I prefer keeping it for longer and rinsing it off with water. It does help in shrinking the pores.

My skin feels quite soft and energised after using it. I have gone through more than half the tube already. It smells a bit fruity and refreshing and I really enjoy using it. It has been my go-to mask for a while now apart from the regular sheet masks. I use it on a weekly basis and I do feel it helps in keeping my skin looking good. It is not the most miraculous mask. I would say it is more of a maintenance mask. You have to have that one good mask in your skincare routine that you can reply on even when your skin is looking dead tired. It is a fuss free pampering for you skin and I really enjoy using it.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Rodial Super Acids X-Treme Hangover Mask?

May be, may be not. As I said, it is good but nothing that can’t be replaced on your shelf.

Shiseido Urban Environment UV Protection Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30

(Price : USD33 for 50 ml).

The description of this sunscreen mentions that it’s for “everyday protection” and that’s exactly I picked it up for. I loooove this sunscreen. I haven’t tried many things from Sheisedo, but after this, I guess I am totally going to try more products from them. The sunscreen comes packed in an easy-to-]use white flattened tube. It is lightweight and does not feel heavy on the skin. It does not leave any white cast nor does it make my skin shiny.

It actually is pretty matte. I have been using every day from past month or so and it has never caused any problems on my skin. This sunscreen is also water resistant and stays on the skin for a while. So, you can go swimming with it, but this would require you to reapply after a while. It has quite a strong fragrance. It does not bother me but something to notice about the product. I mostly wear it underneath my foundation and it has never felt heavy or greasy. I must mention that I have been in cold environment all this while, but honestly, I don’t think it should be an issue to wear everyday in hot weather too. It is quite a lightweight sunscreen plus you can totally skip wearing a moisturiser with it underneath to decrease one layer of product underneath. It is quite hydrating on its own. I absolutely adore this sunscreen. I would totally be switching between Vichy Sunscreen and this one. Also, this protects skin form everyday pollution too. So it’s a great one especially if you live in a super polluted city like Delhi. 😛
