Deborah Lippmann Cuticle Lab Review

Price: $45
Product Description:
4 easy steps to healthy, beautiful cuticles.
• No Soaking
• No Peeling
• No Nipping
Deborah Lippmann cuticle lab was created to deliver neat cuticles and help attain the perfect manicure. With this four part kit, nails look beautiful, healthy and ready for your favourite polish. With no soaking, peeling and nipping, the cuticle lab contains exfoliating cuticle treatment, pusher, hydrating cuticle oil and ultra nourishing cuticle repair cream to gently care for your hands. Deborah Lippmann wanted to correct a misconception that nail cuticles should always be trimmed or cut. She developed a step by step guide to give women the tools and knowledge necessary to take care of their cuticles the professional way.
Suggested Usage:
Cuticle Remover:
-Before first application, soften bristles by rolling the brush between thumb and forefinger.
-Apply liberally where skin meets the nails to gently loosen and soften dead or dry cuticles.
The Pusher:
-Using the arched end, gently push cuticles back towards the knuckle (the opposite tip of the pusher helps target more stubborn cuticle build-up).
Cuticle Oil:
-Before first application, soften bristles by rolling the brush between thumb and forefinger.
-Dab a small amount to cuticles and massage.
The Cure Ultra Nourishing Cuticle Repair Cream:
-Massage a small amount onto each nail and the surrounding cuticle area.
-Apply frequently throughout the day to maintain softness and prevent dryness.

My Experience with Deborah Lippmann Cuticle Lab:

I normally get my manicure done at the parlour once a month or sometimes once in two months. At home I only file, trim, cut and buff my nails. Even after getting a manicure done at the salon, I get ingrown skin, skin splitting and peeling from the sides of my right-hand fingernails. I usually cut or trim this rough and dry skin using a nail cutter; sometimes I keep fidgeting with it, trying to rip, pull or bite it. When I came across Deborah Lippmann Cuticle Lab, I decided to buy it, and thanks to IMBB for sponsoring this kit for me.

Believe me, after getting this kit and using it only twice, my cuticles feel softer, smoother and the skin around my nails feel better. Secondly, I do not have to wait anymore for my next visit to the salon to get my cuticles and nails done. I can do it at home myself at my own pace and time, as and when desired. Deborah Lippmann cuticle lab is a four piece cuticle set with a step-by-step guide on how to treat and take care of cuticles. The four piece set is nicely packaged and each item is nicely and individually arranged in a rectangular plastic moulded support, which comes packaged in a rectangular shaped cardboard box.

Set contains:
Cuticle Remover, 8 ml: It is a cream coloured fluid and comes packaged in a transparent glass bottle with a black coloured cap which has a brush attached. Using the brush, I liberally apply the cuticle remover on the nail bed and on the area where the skin meets the nails. This cuticle remover exfoliates, gently loosens and softens the dead or dry cuticles without having to soak hands in the water. It loosens up the cuticles and is a very good exfoliating treatment for my cuticles.

Stainless Steel Dual Ended Cuticle Pusher: It is a professional stainless steel dual-ended tool that pushes and shapes the most stubborn cuticles without damaging the delicate nail plates. It is a two-sided cuticle pusher and the arched end helps gently push the cuticles towards the knuckles. The other side has a sharper edge and helps target more stubborn cuticles. Once the cuticles loosen up, I use this cuticle pusher to push back the skin away from the nails. And, whilst doing so, I exfoliate my nails by moving this pusher in circular motions on all three sides of the nail bed. This helps get rid of the dead skin and rough cuticles. This is the best-prescribed method of getting rid of the dead skin and cuticles rather than cutting or trimming.

Deborah Lippmann Cuticle Lab Contents

Cuticle Oil, 8 ml: It is a lilac coloured liquid, which comes packaged in a transparent bottle, with a black coloured cap which has a brush attached. Using the brush, I dab this cuticle oil on my cuticles, then using my thumb and forefinger I massage each nail bed and cuticle in circular motions. The cuticle oil moisturises and soothes my dry cuticles and nails. It helps prevent splitting and peeling of the cuticles and at the same time cares for brittle nails. This oil is very hydrating and provides good nourishment for my hard and rough cuticles.

Ultra Nourishing Cuticle Repair Cream, 10 ml: It is a cream coloured rich cream that comes packaged in a translucent rectangle shaped bottle with a black coloured screw on cap and an inner lid. Also known as the final cure, it is an ultra-nourishing cuticle repair cream which has patented raspberry stem cell extract, red algae, shea butter, sodium hyaluronate, and vitamins A, C, and E. It has a smooth, creamy texture and lovely fragrance. I gently massage a small amount onto each nail and surrounding cuticles in circular motions using my thumb and forefinger. It instantly nourishes, repairs and relieves dry cuticles. This ultra-nourishing cuticle repair cream can be used on a daily basis for better results.

This entire set is a good treatment for my cuticles and nails. It has exfoliating and hydrating benefits that work together to prevent splitting and peeling of cuticles. The best part is that it is formulated without parabens and sulphates. This kit is a five-free formulation which means it is formulated without dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and camphor.
