My Experience with Deborah Milano 08 Violet 2 in 1 Gel Kajal & Eyeliner:
The 2 in 1 pencil comes in a color coded packaging which is great, if you have a huge stash of eye pencils. It has to be sharpened which leads to product wastage. Also the company doesn’t provide a sharpener, but any cosmetic sharpener works pretty well. The cap does not shut with a click and hence it is slightly difficult to carry along in the makeup pouch.
The texture is dry and does not deposit color in one stroke. Considering it is a gel liner, I was expecting it to glide on the lids like butter but sadly it tugs and pulls the lid while application. When used as a kajal, 2-3 swipes are required to get the ideal intensity of the shade. Thankfully it does not create any irritation when used on the waterline.
The shade is a pretty violet which brightens up the eyes well, both as eyeliner and as kohl. There is no sheen or shimmer to the shade which makes it all the more unique. Matte liners are seen less in number these days but this one comes as a happy change. But the catch here is, in order to make it a matte liner, the creaminess of the color has vanished.
The staying power is 7-8 hours on the lid as a liner. On the waterline the shade stayed for 2-3 hours without smudging; after that it starts to fade and smear. Overall it would have been a nice product if the texture was not so dry and had a bit more pigmentation to it. I am not too impressed with this except for the pretty matte shade.
Pros of Deborah Milano 08 Violet 2 in 1 Gel Kajal & Eyeliner:
• Color coded packaging.
• Variety of shades available.
• Does not irritate eyes.
• Nice shade.
Cons of Deborah Milano 08 Violet 2 in 1 Gel Kajal & Eyeliner:
• Dry texture.
• Not so smooth.
• Pigmentation could be better.
• Sharpening leads to wastage.
IMBB Rating – 2.75/5
