There was a sale of 15-20% off depending on your purchase value in Pune Central, hence I got it since I am high on lip pencils these days. But on its own I think it is a ridiculous pricing to have for this lip pencil.I would never pick it up honestly if it weren’t on this tiny sale, any way take a look at this pretty light brown peachy shade I got to use as a lip filler and a liner too.
Needless to say I never buy a single thing, I buy in bunches any day, 😛 so I got two more pencils from the regular lip pencil range in shade 07 and 08 but they are even worse as in this one is at least creamy with an obnoxious price, the others are priced at 350 and are not even smooth enough.
The color is a pretty light peachy brown, ideal for a neutral lip look or a long lasting matte lip look. The pencil is regular sized and the creaminess is good, it is quite creamy but not as creamy as the Lakme 9 to 5 ones which cost 375. this one does not set, but I was kinda hoping it would, like the Rimmel ones that cost 290 and set to a smudge proof finish, this wont, this can be applied on the lips like a lipstick since it is soft enough, great for lining and since it is matte, it helps to stop a lipstick from bleeding too, so far so good.
You can use this as a base to fill in the lips and then use any lipstick, but since it is so expensive I am sure many of you would like to buy a lippy instead of this regular lip liner to use 😛 the pigmentation and texture is good enough.The pencil looks cute too with the red font and has a fitted cap.The color does not flake or dry out the lips, but ofcourse dry lips cannot wear this alone, may be top it with a cream lipstick.
The color would last as long as you wont eat, it smudges and melts as you use your lips, since it is not smudge-proof.So why is it priced like this I am unable to understand! I do not say it is a bad lip liner, but it is not outstanding, I would rather buy Diana of london, RImmel for 290, and Lakme for 375 than this one.Happy with the color but disappointed with the price.I will review the extra lip pencils too which seem better.
