Deborah Milano 24 Ore Lip Pencil – Shade 10 Review

I often describe my makeup life in two phases- a pre-IMBB life and a post-IMBB one 😛 In my pre-IMBB life, I never used a lip liner, so my lipstick used to fade away just after an hour of application and the application was never uniform. In my post-IMBB life, I am obsessed with applying lipstick perfectly. So, I cannot think of applying a lipstick without a lip liner anymore. I love using red lipsticks, mostly when I am attending a marriage. So, a good red lip liner was much needed. I found this beautiful colour from Deborah Milano and decided to grab this one. Read to know my views on it.

My Experience with Deborah Milano 24 Ore Lip Pencil – Shade 10:

Packaging: This lip pencil comes in a sharpenable wooden pencil form. The body is black with the coloured end denoting the color of the lip liner. The cap is black and does not shut with a click. So, if you are travelling with this, put it in a separate pouch, instead of throwing it in your purse. I would have loved if it had come with a click shut cap. The sharpenable form makes it very hygienic. However, I would have appreciated a sharpener along with it.

Texture: This is not a very creamy kind of a product. It is definitely a little dry, but applying it is never very tough. It does not tug or pull on the lips. Also, it does not make lips dry, but I generally use it after moisturizing my lips with a lip balm. It feels lightweight on the lips, even when applied on the whole lip.

Color and Pigmentation:  This is a true red shade that will go well with a lot of red lipsticks and suit most skin tones. It has amazing pigmentation and gives full coverage to the most pigmented lips.

As I have mentioned earlier, this acts as the perfect lip liner as well as a lipstick. It gives a smooth matte lipstick that does not make the lip patchy or dry. It does not make lip lines prominent. The finish is perfect matte without any shimmer or glitter, so it can be used with any kind of lipstick. You can also apply a little transparent gloss on it and you will be ready to rock the party.

Staying Power: The colour stays intact for more than 5 hours. Though heavy or oily meals tend to rub off the shade, the color will not vanish from your lips and will leave some stain behind. Also, the stain is not patchy. It fades evenly thus ensuring you do not look unkempt after a few hours. When used along with lipstick, it increases the staying power of it.

Overall, if you love bold red lips, this is lip liner will make your lips look even better.

This one will last for a really long and maybe after that, I will opt for something else, but I would like to have a shade like this in my stash.
