I have been wearing a lot of foundation this festive season as the Ganpati celebrations are on full swing here in Pune. I always need a primer to mattify, and fill my pores ( oh I wish it were forever) . If you have tried the L’Oreal primer, you would know how it feels, silicone-y and gel-like, but not at all oily! This primer feels very similar, only that this is white in color.
This shine-defeating make-up primer formulated especially for the T-zone. Applied under foundation or used on its own, it helps keep skin smooth, even-toned and lastingly matte. Corrects the shiny areas on the face, smoothing and evening base, improves application and staying power of makeup.
I bought this from Lifestyle Stores in Inorbit mall and I believe it was for 550 INR when I purchased it.
My Experience with Deborah Milano Face Perfect Primer:
Well, there are tall claims – mattifying, even out, smoothing, and lasting your makeup long. I have to say that yes, it mattifies the skin, and no, it does not fill pores, but the texture does provide a smooth base for makeup to cling on. It does not extremely even out skin in terms of pigment or discoloration, only skin feels softer on application. The primer does not hide any scars. The texture feels very soft and balm-like.
I would say it controls shine for a maximum of three hours for my oily skin, and then the foundation begins to give way and melt, so it was a disappointment on those terms. This did not prolong the makeup wear on the cheeks and the middle of the forehead where I get most oily.
That being said, you could try it for normal skin which does not get oily with a foundation. For me, this does not help my foundation melt down much but does give a smoother base for my makeup.
Pros of Deborah Milano Face Perfect Primer:
- Smooth texture.
- Fills smaller pores for an even finish.
- Skin is smooth to touch post application.
- Makes foundation cling on for a smoother look.
- Would work better for normal to slightly oily skin.
Cons of Deborah Milano Face Perfect Primer:
- Will not help with foundation melt down post three hours for very oily skin.
- Will not help with huge pores or scar filling issue.
- Will not help with any pigmentation (try a color correcting primer for that).
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Deborah Milano Face Perfect Primer?
Well no, I think you can try this for a basic primer for normal skin. For oily skin, the temporary matte look is provided, but I wish the results were slightly longer.
