Today, I will be reviewing a new liquid lipstick from my stash. I love liquid lipsticks and I love red lips. If you are good at the beauty mathematics, you will know what this review is all about (a red liquid lipstick of course). I love having a true red lip color in my kit all the time. I saw swatches of this color from Deborah Milano and knew immediately that I will grab this one someday. I did so last month and here is my thoughts on Deborah Milano Fluid Velvet Lipstick 06.

My Experience with Deborah Milano Fluid Velvet Mat Lipstick 06:
The product comes in a glossy, transparent tube with a matte, black cap. You can see the color of the product through the transparent tube which makes it super easy to spot the product. Also, the shade name and details are mentioned in black on the tube.
The slim, flocked tip applicator brings out a good amount of product each time. I have thick, heavily pigmented lips, so I have to dip it in the bottle thrice to build up the intensity. However in the very first go, it will cover the lips and you can see the true color. It may take some time to get a precise application with this applicator, but once you get the knack of it, you will fall in love with it.
This is a neutral red shade and would suit every skin tone. It is a very bright, vibrant shade that takes away any hint of dullness from your face. This is a great bridal red lip color and will make you look younger.
The texture is not like regular creamy, liquid lipsticks or lip stains. It is more like a lip tint. Although this liquid lipstick imparts full coverage, it feels absolutely lightweight and most of the time, you won’t even feel if it is there. It applies smoothly and evenly and within less than 10 seconds, it settles down to a super matte, dry finish. It does not feel cakey even when you add 2-3 layers of the product. However, it can be super drying and uncomfortable if your lips are not moisturized well.
This lip color can also highlight dry patches on the lips. It can feel crumbly and uncomfortable. Make sure to use a very good moisturizer on the lips before applying the balm. I like to layer it on a moisturizing lip pencil to get the best of both worlds.
It stays on the lips for really long. It is smudge-proof and waterproof too. Even when it fades after a super oily meal, the fading is even and a deep stain stays back which looks beautiful. To remove it completely, it is always best to use an oil-based remover. As lips may feel dry after that, pamper them with Boroline or some other good moisturizer.
Overall, this is a gorgeous red lip color. I won’t say this is the best liquid lipstick formula or the best red lipstick that I have ever owned, I would suggest it to you if you want to try a liquid lipstick in red shade.

- Very tough to remove.
- Can be super drying if the lips are not prepped well.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Deborah Milano Fluid Velvet Mat Lipstick 06?
I do not think I would repurchase this liquid lipstick as I would search for something that is a little less drying than this lipstick. This is a good color and if you do not have any lipstick from this range, you can give this a try.
