Deborah Milano Kajal Pencil in Shade 118

Hello Lovely Ladies,

Nowadays I am having really hectic schedule, my profession is going well, so I don’t get much time to flaunt the beautiful lipsticks, eyeshadows and eyeliners that I have been piling up to review, but as IMBB is every girl’s besties, so how could a girl stay away from her best friend for a long time, finally I sneak away from my busy day and find some time to test the products and write a review. Today I am here with Deborah Milano kajal pencil review.

Deborah Milano Kajal Pencil inShade 118

Price: INR 275.

Claims: A soft pencil that leaves ultra-deep color. And Easy to blend in. It’s Safe to use also inside the lash line.

Packaging: The Kajal pencil comes in a sharpen able wooden pencil, the body of the pencil is fully color coded, with a silver colored cap, which is really very air tight and no worries of the cap coming off in your handbag and making a mess. It’s really travel friendly and sturdy.

My take on Deborah Milano Kajal Pencil in Shade 118:

Shade, Texture and Pigmentation: The shade 118 can be mentioned in many colors as like dark olive green shade, powdered mehendi color or dark moss green color, with a golden sheen to it. It has no shimmers in it. The color is very soft and subtle and will look very fine and awesome on fair and medium skin tones and it’s an everyday wearable shade. As the color is not very bold, it’ll not show up on pigmented lids or dark skin tone. The pencil is perfect to create green smoky eye look.

The texture of the kajal pencil is really smooth and glides very easily on eyes without tugging. The finish is like creamy matte. It’s also very safe to use in the waterline, I didn’t feel any tingling sensation on my eyes. The deep moss green is not very loud shade, but it’s nicely pigmented. You can see on the hand swatches the color looks more intense then on eyes, one swipe gives enough color, but on eyes 2-3 swipes is needed to make the color look more intense, on my fair to medium skin tone.

Staying Power: The staying power of the kajal pencil put me really down, I don’t know why this kind of pencils have been introduced in the market, for me a eye pencil should be set into the eyes and stays on for atleast 6 hours and should be completely smudge proof and waterproof too. But this eye pencil has none of these aspects, it stays on my upper lids for 2- 2.5 hours, and that too if I am not touching or rubbing my eyes, slightly touching would make the subtle color fade away, and vigorously rubbing the eyes takes away the whole color in one swipe. And it stayed on my waterline for 1.5 hours or so, after that it starts smudging and spreading outside the lower lash line. As it doesn’t sets down, it only gives the facility of blending it well for a smoky eye look.

Cons of Deborah Milano Kajal Pencil in Shade 118:

• Staying power is really very bad, and on waterline it’s even worst.

Recommendation/ Re-purchase: No, for this pencil, but Yes, for the shade. I am done with this brand pencil, as I love the color and keep on hunting for this shade, but I am definitely not gonna purchase this one, Sorry, I kept high expectations from the pencil, but it didn’t fared me on in any of the ways, rather than buying this again, I would love to buy the Lotus herbals eyeliner pencils.
