My Experience with Deborah Milano Lip Liner Pencil – 158:

This lip liner from Deborah is a rich brick red color. It’s a lovely shade for warm Indian skin tones. There is no shimmer or shine in the color. This particular lip pencil from Deborah Milano can be worn with dark color lipsticks like maroons and reds, especially the ones which we wear on some special occasions. Milano lip liner gives a matte look after application. This can be used to line your lips or can be worn alone also.

There are some particular set of expectations which we have from our lip liners. These are very basic demands like soft texture, no tugging and pulling and smooth application. Liners have be long lasting, otherwise the whole purpose of applying a liner gets defeated. Lip liner pencil from Deborah Milano fails miserably in all these fronts. This particular shade of the lip liner does scratch my lips while applying and is not at all smooth and easy to put on. Texture is not soft and creamy. I tried all possible ways and means to make it work, but nothing actually worked for me. The only positive point I can see is that it doesn’t break or crumble easily while sharpening. In fact I don’t see this one finishing anytime soon. I am not sure about other shades in this range, but this one has been a big dud for me.

Deborah Milano lip liners come in a colored case and can be sharpened easily and frankly, I don’t mind the wastage of product involved in this case.

Pros of Deborah Milano Lip Liner Pencil – 158:

• A pretty warm shade of red that would suit Indian skin tones.
• Will go very well with party shades of lipsticks.
• Easy to apply.
• No smell/taste.
• Comes in a colored packaging for easy recognition.
• Lasts for quite a long time.
• Can be sharpened easily.
• Does not crumble.
• Easily available.

Cons of Deborah Milano Lip Liner Pencil – 158:

• Dries my lips a lot.
• Lots of pulling and tugging involved while applying.
• Not good when worn alone.

Although I liked the shade but still didn’t love it due to its drying effect on my lips. It is totally your personal choice while picking this particular shade. If you can manage the drying texture, then this is a nice shade and can be added to your collection. I liked the shade while picking and only realized upon using the real quality of it. I love liners which can be worn alone also and unfortunately, this one does not fall in this category. So, this one is a pass from me, I would not even dare to try other shades from this particular range from Deborah.
