Deborah Wet & Dry Compact Foundation
By Parul Yadav
Hey all…

After my first review, I was so excited to write for the second one that I literally ignored some of my paper work at hospital thinking about what should be my next product review! And here I am writing about the Deborah wet and dry compact. Though when it comes to compact I swear upon the Chambor wet and dry compact which suits my oil dripping and acne prone skin perfectly :*. But last month when I was short of money I had to look out for some compact in the range of 500-600 I got this Deborah product because I have had a good experience with their lipstick and eyeliner.
INR 595 for 11g

PACKAGING: It comes in a chic golden and coffee brown oval plastic case with two overlying chambers- the lower one consists of sponge and above it lies the compact with mirror. The sponge is really smooth and blends the compact well.
SHADES: It comes in 3 shades- 01,02,03. I bought the 03 shade which matches my skin colour perfectly (read dusky).
My experience with Deborah Wet & Dry Compact Foundation :
My working hours these days is 9-3 so my review is based on the 6 hour usage (without any touch up in between). I cleansed my face, applied tiny bit of Maybelline bb cream and since my skin felt hydrated enough I applied the compact in dry form. It was smooth and silky enough and blended really well on my skin, covered the light pigmented area on my forehead; only concern was that it didn’t provide me the shine which Chambor provides me (but then it’s just half the price of chambor). When I came home, there were no traces of patchiness, though I could feel little oil on my face but that can be ignored owing to the humid weather these days here in Kanpur. In the evening I again used the product, this time in wet form; and it was again quite satisfactory.
Pros of Deborah Wet & Dry Compact Foundation :
• It’s the best compact I have used in this price range category.
• Suitable for oily skinned beauties.
• Good coverage.
• Attractive packaging.
• Sponge and mirror are just awesome.
• Separate sections for sponge and compact.
• Dual usage.
Cons of Deborah Wet & Dry Compact Foundation:
• The effect is not very long lasting (the chambor compact I swear by, provides me with longer results).
• Fragile case (the lower compartment doesn’t opens fully and the hinge is quite susceptible to breakage).
Will I buy Deborah Wet & Dry Compact Foundation again?
I don’t think so! Because I am totally in love with my Chambor compact and can’t live without it. But yes when money may be a matter, I may consider buying it 😉
Will I suggest or recommend Deborah Wet & Dry Compact Foundation?
Of course I will! If you are looking out for a dual compact in this price range and suffer from oily skin; you should give it a try! But don’t forget to keep it in your bag when you’re out because you need the touch up in 2-3 hours.

I too love chambor compacts, however i found a more value for money product with a lot more shade options than chambor in kryolan wet and dry foundation. it costs 1200 but you get a lot more product than chambor and love the shade options, surprisingly lot of colours for indian skin from a german brand.
yup! have heard alot abt kryolan cosmetics… bt we dont get it here in my city *nababana* bt next time i go to delhi will surely checkout kryolan counter *powder*
