I am back with a review of an awesome liner. With all of the many many liners that I have tested in Japan, I can confidently say, Japan does it best when it comes to liner and mascara. Their stuff is waterproof, yet easy to remove, goes on super pigmented, stays put once it sets and doesn’t dry out for months and months. They just have got the formula down pat! I think a lot of products from the Japanese drugstore outperform their Western counterparts. Yes outperform, they are that good. Is this one the same? Let’s find out.
Formula: This product is a liquid eyeliner with a brush tip. The formula on this one is phenomenal and solid. It is fully opaque and is jet black. It sets within about 10 or so seconds of application, so you do have a bit of play time. After it sets, it becomes waterproof and will survive a sauna visit for sure. It comes off effortlessly with warm water without a fuss, so you don’t even need makeup remover. The pigmentation is wonderful and so is the staying power.
The only tiny thing I have to watch out with this is that I have extremely oily eyelids. The crease area produces the most amount of oil on my eye, and so I notice a “mm” or so of fading only in the wing if I do a winged liner.
If I apply eyeshadow primer and then apply the primer, I don’t have a problem at all. The brush tip on this is so fine and it makes it so easy to apply winged liner. The tip is nicely pointed, but won’t hurt or tug on your eyes. I have had it for about 3 months now and the product is still fresh and nowhere near drying out.
Japanese drugstore liners never ever dry out; when the ink is over, that is when you will run out of it. But until that point, they generally don’t dry out. This tube will last me another 3 months, I am guessing. All in all, we have a winner here!!
