Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream Review

Hello friends 🙂

How are you doing today? I am back again to share another eye cream with you from our much popular brand Derma E! We all know Derma E is a hit name for every skin care regime right from their specialized night creams to any basic moisturizer. Even I have been using their cleanser and other skin care regimens for long time.I find them pretty good for my weirdo skin type. However, I did notice sheer disappointments at times with this brand. Today I am here to talk about my not so loved eye cream from this brand. So, let’s read more about Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream!

My Experience with Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream:

The cream comes in hygienic tube packaging with screw cap. It does have a faint smell, which is fine with me. Overall it fetches full marks in terms of user friendly & travel friendly packaging not to forget its cruelty free, paraben free formula.

The issue is its texture. It is slight watery based cream and not rich in texture. Somehow it takes more time than expected while working on eyes. It is not just 4-5 seconds but sometimes more than 3-4 minutes! I had to keep on massaging it constantly so as to make it disappear on my skin. But once it is absorbed, it does not leave any greasy oily residue behind. My main issue is I cannot wait 5 minutes for an eye cream especially in hurry or otherwise in any case I just need a light-weight cream which easily absorbs like cerave or reviva labs eye cream. I bought it for my day time routine but it takes so much time that I use it at night. I can fully devote my time behind massaging this cream onto skin 😛

Moreover, even after regular usage for 2-3 weeks I didn’t notice any significant change in texture or fine lines around my eyes. Although I can see that it does plump up my skin temporary but after few hours my skin comes back to original stage. I also doubt if it will work for dry skin beauties since it works for decent hours on my oily skin. I mean it simply provides hydration to my skin but then my cerave eye cream does same.

Moreover, I see no difference in my fine lines under eye and around eyes. It seems ineffective for my puffy eyes at times. But as they say we have to keep patience so I am continuing it at bedtime in hope of getting some good results after more time but I feel we have many better options in market which works well on my skin. Considering its decent performance and long awaited results ,I feel it is too pricey. We can certainly get good eye creams with both hydration and anti-ageing properties at much lower budget. I don’t think I will get it again. I would rather like to go back to cerave eye repair cream.

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream:

• A light weight eye cream infused with goodness of hyaluronic acid, green tea leaf extract, aloe etc
• It does provide decent hydration for few hours
• It does not leave any oily/greasy residue behind
• It comes up great under eye makeup and does not accentuate our oily eye lids
• It does plump up skin temporarily
• Quite hygienic and travel friendly packaging

Cons of Derma E Hydrating Eye Cream:

• It takes lot of time to sink into my skin
• It only provide temporary relief from dryness and fine lines and no long lasting results so far
• It is tricky for dry skin
• I doubt if it does anything for fine lines and/or puffy eyes
• All the claims seem bit exaggerated

I feel we have plenty of good options in market than this eye cream. It was fascinating in terms of formula and claims if only they were achieved in reality. I feel you didn’t miss anything good for your skin by skipping this particular eye cream. I am not getting it again.
