This is the second cleansing oil I am trying and reviewing this month. I find cleansing balms the most efficient at removing makeup and I have tried and tested several of them, especially by Korean brands. I thought I would diversify to cleansing oils as well. I recently bought two from my local beauty store and this post is the review of one of them. I generally hate the makeup removal process because it is messy and time-consuming (takes a while to get all the molten makeup off). And above all, most makeup removers leave some residue behind, especially waterproof eye makeup is hard to remove even with high-end makeup removers. But apparently, cleansing oils can eliminate this ordeal by making makeup removing process much simpler and easier.
This rinse-free cleansing oil leaves your skin feeling superbly moisturized, along with an improved soft and dewy appearance.
This essence of rose cleansing oil dissolves away long-lasting makeup and impurities, while nourishing skin with beautifying oils.
Argan Oil delivers a concentrated boost of intense antioxidant-rich moisture to lock in essential hydrating for a healthy tone, renewed texture and exceptional suppleness. Jojoba Oil provides moisture to dry skin while helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by promoting healthy cell renewal. Cleansing oils are great for all skin types, especially oily skin because they help to maintain skin’s natural balance, removing skin of bad oils and leaving good natural oils. Your skin will be left feeling healthy, nourished and soft.
How to Use:
Gently massage a dime sized amount onto dry face and neck. Using a warm damp cloth, wipe the oil from your skin. Use in the morning and evening.
My Experience with Derma E Nourishing Rose Cleansing Oil:
This cleansing oil comes in a clear glass bottle and is rather heavy. It has a fancy pump dispenser. With each pump, it dispenses a coin size product, and for entire face and neck, two pumps are required. The best way to use it is to pump into dry hands and massage over the dry face to dissolve makeup, dirt, and impurities. Then, wipe off with a wipe before washing it off with a good face wash and water.
My previous makeup removing routine was using makeup removing wipes to remove my face makeup, and for eyes, I used various kinds of makeup removers such as micellar water to remove my eyeliner and mascara. I used cleansing balms to make the process easier and now I can say the same for cleansing oils.
This product has a very short ingredient list. It contains Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride which is an excellent emollient and skin-replenishing ingredient and is derived from coconut oil and glycerin. It contains jojoba oil, argan oil and vitamin E oil, which are all nourishing for the skin and beneficial to make skin healthy. It also contains a natural fragrance oil, which gives this oil a soothing rose fragrance.
The consistency of this product is like a dense serum but a very lightweight oil. Two pumps are enough for one-time use and can easily remove liquid lipstick, eyeliner and mascara. I usually gently rub my eyelids and lashes for a few seconds to remove all the stubborn makeup and then massage my face and neck. I then wipe off my face and wash it with a gentle face cleanser and that’s it. I go from full makeup face to makeup-free face in just a minute.
This face oil does not break me out or cause clogged pores. It easily breaks down the stubborn makeup and removes eye makeup and liquid lipstick. It does not make face excessively greasy or oily and is easy to wipe off. Once wiped off, it leaves behind a soft feel to the skin. I really enjoy using this cleansing oil. It is rightly priced and works efficiently at removing makeup.
