My Experience with Derma E Purifying Oil-Free Moisturizer:
Derma E Purifying Oil Free Moisturiser comes in an environment friendly, recyclable packaging. The card box and the bottle, both carry every detail about the product and the brand. The cylindrical bottle has a pump dispenser, which makes it very hygienic and convenient to use. It is travel safe.
This moisturizer is an algae and activated based moisturiser for normal skin type. With winters on it way and fall almost here, I was looking for a lightweight moisturiser because my oily-combination skin converts to dry-combination in winters. This is a vegan product with natural ingredients and the ingredient list speaks about it all. The moisturiser is charcoal grey in color and feels weird initially when dispensed because we aren’t used to many charcoal-colored moisturisers usually.
When applied, it absorbs into skin immediately while providing a burst of hydration to skin. Derma E Purifying Oil Free Moisturiser is not a typical moisturiser with creamy texture and sticky feel. Rather it is a hydrating moisturiser to detox and nourish skin. The consistency is neither watery nor thick and the product feels extremely lightweight on skin. The hydrated and gel-like formula leaves skin soft and settles to a matte, non-greasy finish instantly after application. It goes deep down skin pores to hydrate and give a soothing feel to dry skin. However, it will not provide ample hydration to very dry and parched skin.
This moisturizer is a complete winner. Derma E says it can be used underneath makeup but that doesn’t mean it is a makeup primer and will increase the wearing hour of foundation. Also, it doesn’t have any sunscreen it in. Though it hydrates skin, it doesn’t control oil production in t-zone and a little shine appears after 5 wearing hours (which is going to get better as the days get colder).
Pros of Derma E Purifying Oil-Free Moisturizer:
- An algae and charcoal-based moisturiser.
- Suitable for oily, combination and normal skin types.
- Leaves skin hydrated, soft and velvety smooth.
- Sinks instantly into pores with a matte finish.
- Non-greasy and fast absorbing.
- Gel-like texture which provides a burst of hydration.
- Easy, convenient packaging.
- Vegan product.
- Doesn’t break out.
- Just a little goes a long way.
Cons of Derma E Purifying Oil-Free Moisturizer:
- Not very budget friendly.
- Not for dry skin.
- A little shine appears on t-zone after 5 hours of application.
- It isn’t a substitute for makeup primer.
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Derma E Purifying Oil-Free Moisturizer?
Yes, I recommend it strongly to oily, combination and normal skin types but dry ones can skip this. I will repurchase after winter.
