I will be reviewing a cult product for amazing skin that can act as a blessing for all skin types, it’s the Desert Essence Jojoba oil. There are a lot of skin care products in the market, but this one product is leagues apart. I have been using this oil for quite some time now, so I can explain in detail whether it works or not.

My Experience with Desert Essence 100% Pure Jojoba Oil:
The oil comes in a transparent bottle with a flip open cap and the oil is golden liquid in color. I had heard about the Desert Essence jojoba oil from a lot of people including friends who vouched about the miracle properties of this golden liquid. The jojoba plant mainly grows in arid areas of Arizona and Mexico where the seeds are harvested for this oil/wax. It has been said that the jojoba oil/wax has the closest resemblance to our skin’s sebum. I wanted to try oil for a long time, but felt something was holding me, concerns like using oil on my skin, but then, I went ahead and bought it from the nearest organic food store.
This oil is very light and has a pale golden color to it. This applies smoothly and gets absorbed into the skin very easily. There is a nutty smell to this oil, so I presume some may not like it, but for me, the pros outweigh the cons heavily. I use this as a night replenishing oil and for nourishment of hair on weekends.
I have days when the facial skin is oversensitive and bumpy and this oil helps to calm my skin down and make it soft and supple like baby’s skin. I mix this oil in my body lotion to make it an extra nourishing moisturizer during the dry winter season. I use this as my cuticle oil as well because when my cuticles are dry and peeling, this product helps to restore them. I do use it as my makeup remover sometimes and it does remove all makeup including waterproof mascara really well.
For hair, I have been using it as a weekly treatment overnight by massaging it into my scalp to the ends and leaving it overnight and washing it off the next morning – the results are shiny, frizz-free hair. The uses of this oil are endless and currently I am using it for as many things as possible, I am trying to move to more natural skin care due to all the harmful chemicals in the stuff that’s available in the market, let’s hope I can do that well 🙂
