Dessange Paris is a luxury Parisian hair care brand which first started in the 1950s as a chain of salons. It recently launched a range of hair care products in the USA and I picked up a shampoo and conditioner from the Dessange Paris Oleo Miracle Replenishing range. Read on to find out more about the shampoo.
The Oleo Miracle system helps bring your overprocessed and damaged hair back to vitality with shine. This formula with 3 precious oils of argan, camellia and pracaxi nourishes and brings out your hair’s natural beauty while both protecting from aggressors and detangling your hair. My Experience with Dessange Paris Oleo Miracle Replenishing Shampoo:
To begin with, a little about my hair type. I have naturally thick and wavy hair. I have an oily scalp; my hair is not overtly oily, but it tends to get oilier after 4 -5 days of shampooing. The ends of my hair are much drier compared to the remaining hair and it has a dull, lifeless look.
Packaging: The shampoo comes in a simple fuss-free plastic packaging. It has a golden cap which almost matches with the color of the shampoo. The bottle has a flip-top cap which shuts tight. But the bottle is not exactly travel friendly.
Fragrance: The shampoo has a pleasant fragrance of argan oil. I personally liked the fragrance very much, but those of you who do not like such nutty fragrances might not like it. The smell does not stay in your hair for long and fades away 2-3 hours after shampooing.
Shampoo: The shampoo is amber in color and of a runny consistency. It is easy to apply and it spreads easily in the hair. It also lathers up well. I massage it onto my wet hair and then rinse it off with warm water. I follow it up with a conditioner from the same range.
My hair feels a bit tangled after using only the shampoo, but this is not a problem for me as I always follow up with a conditioner. The shampoo cleans my hair pretty well and removes all grease. I like that it does not strip essential moisture from my hair and my hair feels quite hydrated afterwards. I did not notice any aggravated hair fall after using this shampoo.
I am really liking this shampoo and its after effects on my hair. It surely gives my hair a lot of moisture and makes them look healthy and hydrated, but it also makes my hair oily a bit sooner than my other shampoos, but given how nice my hair looks the first 3 days after wash, I am ready to overlook this con.
Pros of Dessange Paris Oleo Miracle Replenishing Shampoo:
- Pleasant argan oil fragrance.
- Cleans the hair thoroughly and removes all grease.
- Presence of oils ensure that hair looks healthy and hydrated.
- Does not dry out the hair or make it frizzy.
Cons of Dessange Paris Oleo Miracle Replenishing Shampoo:
- Shampoo on its own will leave you with tangled hair. You need to use conditioner as well.
- Hair tends to get oilier by day 3 (results may vary by hair type).
- Slightly expensive compared to drugstore brands.
Would I Repurchase Dessange Paris Oleo Miracle Replenishing Shampoo?
If your hair is on the drier side, I would surely recommend this shampoo. I like trying out new products and will not repurchase.
