I am back again with another curly hair product from Devacurl i.e. B’Leave-In Miracle Curl Plumper. I was out and about in the market looking for some good styling products for my wavy-curly hair type. I searched the internet, went through so many articles and watched so many YouTube reviews and finally decided to give this baby a try! It is described as a curl plumper. Let’s see if it stood true to any of its claims.

I got mine here in Canada for CAD 27.00 from Sephora’s website for 6 fl. oz or 177 ml
Product Description and Claims:
It is 100% sulfate, paraben and silicone free which is a boon for curly hair. It is not tested on animals and completely safe for colored hair. It has a very refreshing citrusy scent.

My Experience with DevaCurl B’Leave-In Miracle Curl Plumper:
It has a medium to thick gel-like consistency and looks almost clear. It has a very good slip and feels like butter when used. Of course It smells heavenly. For my medium length hair, I need approximately a dime sized amount.
As I have mentioned earlier, I didn’t love my hair at all a few months back because it lacked moisture and shine. Like all other Devacurl products, I had very high hopes from this product. It does make my hair feel very soft and manageable, but as the product claims, this in no way acts as a curl plumper for my hair.
I can definitely see the definition it provides to my curls right from the first use, but I get the same definition even when I don’t use this product in conjunction with other Devacurl products. Though the curl definition stays till my next wash i.e. approximately 3-4 days. But it doesn’t provide any volume or plumpness or extra shine to my curls. Hence I don’t see this product fulfilling any of its claims, at least on my hair type.
Pros of DevaCurl B’Leave-In Miracle Curl Plumper:
- Very pleasant smell which feels refreshing.
- Gel-based which is my personal preference over cream-based products.
- 100% sulfate, silicone and paraben free.
Cons of DevaCurl B’Leave-In Miracle Curl Plumper:
- Not true to its claims.
- Availability
- Expensive.
- Not a travel-friendly packaging.
- Only one size tube available.
Would I Recommend DevaCurl B’Leave-In Miracle Curl Plumper?
I would not recommend because it might work for people with more kinky-curly hair type but definitely not for beauties within the wavy to loose curl pattern spectrum.
