Finally, my exams got over and I got another chance to interact with the beauties. In my last review, I clearly expressed my love for Diana of London (DOL) lipsticks. This time, I was searching some bright fuchsia or magenta type of colour. In fact I was thinking for some bright pink, so I end up in buying this beautiful shade with lovely name “Persian Garden”. Its name attracted me and I liked the colour as well. It is bright magenta kind of colour with brilliance. Or you can say its bright pink with fuchsia brilliance. I guess it derives its name from Persian rose variety, which is of dark pink colour but I am not sure about it.
What company claims :
• Ultra soft texture provides feeling of lightness & absolute comfort.
• Luminous & excellent colour patoff.
• Velvety finish with vitamin E & anti-ageing properties. (From website)
How true the claims are:
No doubt it is ultra soft and provides you the comfort and feeling of lightness. The pigmentation is awesome and just one swipe is enough. I suppose all Diana of London lipsticks have awesome pigmentation. It has soft creamy texture which keeps the lips moist so there is no need to apply lip balm. It feels light after application and while applying it glides very smoothly. The best part is staying power. Even after light snacks, it still makes your lips flaunt.
My experience with Diana of London Surprise Lipstick Persian Garden:
Starting with the packing, it comes in nice smart classy packaging. It has metallic base with rose-wine coloured cap. While applying, I noticed a faint vanilla scent but it doesn’t last long. So overall there is no or very light odour. The packaging is good and can be kept easily in purse while travelling. Its texture is light creamy and the colour Persian garden is bright enough for one swatch. It is a good brand for girls with dry lips. It glides very smoothly on the lips and don’t feel heavy as well. It doesn’t bleed. The staying power is nice. It stays decently for 4-5 hours and since it is a bright colour it leaves a nice rosy tint while the colour fades. It fades evenly and doesn’t bleed. If applied immediately it gets transferred to the cup/mug but once it is settled, it doesn’t get transferred easily.
Persian Garden is a bright dark pink with fuchsia tint hence it is an excellent party going colour. It can easily be worn with bright Indian dresses and at Indian festivals without taking tension of “what to wear” for such occasions. Else it can be a good office going colour.
Pros of Diana of London Surprise Lipstick Persian Garden:
• A bright excellent party going colour.
• It will suit most Indian skin tone.
• Smart packing.
• Glides very smoothly on lips.
• Very nice pigmentation.
• Non feathering and non-bleeding.
• Lipstick with soft creamy texture, with the feeling of lightness.
• Keeps the lips hydrated.
• Free from smudging and bleeding.
• Amazing staying power, when it fades it fades evenly and leaves a rose tint shade.
• Contains vitamin E and sun filters and anti aging property.
Cons of Diana of London Surprise Lipstick Persian Garden:
• Contains paraben. (That’s all I can think)
Will I repurchase/do I recommend Diana of London Surprise Lipstick Persian Garden?
