Skin Tone – Fair to Medium
Diana of London has been a really famous brand when it comes to lipsticks because the shade variety is just unbeatable! I recently came across some new launches from them called the “Super Matte” range. I picked up 2 shades from this range called Nude Rose and Demure Red. I haven’t really been into nudes, so let’s see how this one fared for me.

My Experience Diana of London 01 Nude Rose Super Matte Lipstick:
Packaging: The lipstick comes in a red cardboard box with the name written over it. The lipstick looks very similar to the signature Diana packaging. I love how cute the box and the lipstick look! The shade name and number are written at the base but I wish the packaging was colour coded because they have a lot of shades to choose from. The shade selection variety is just mind-blowing, but there are only a limited number of shades in India. There is no flaw with the packaging since everything is in its place. But I feel the price is a bit high since we can get better brands and better quality at that price.
Shade: The shade “Nude Rose” is the lightest nude among the range. It is a bright nude with pink and peach hints which make it look even brighter. The nude is a really pretty one, perfect for the “no make-up look” but unfortunately it washed out my complexion. So I think it would suit only the very fair skin or probably skin with pink undertones. The shade looked really different on my hands and lips; on my lips it did not compliment me. So I won’t be using this any further but I am on the hunt for nudes.
Texture and finish: The texture is super creamy and glides like butter on my lips. No tugging or pulling, it perfectly defines my lip shape. But the application is pretty uneven and it shows up because my lips are a tad darker than this shade. It did cling to dry patches after a while and did settle in fine lines, so next time I would always pick the brighter and bolder shades. The finish is semi matte in the beginning since the texture is creamy but it soon turns matte after a while. I can see a little sheen, so it is not really super matte, but yes, it has the matte effect.
Staying power: I don’t know but all the nudes last lesser as compared to the bolder shades. This lasted for 3-4 hours, so I have no clue whether that is good or bad, I think I will call it average. A lot of colour gets ripped off if I eat something, so I usually use nudes only when I have to go for a movie or so.
Overall, I liked the other one more than this as this nude did not suit me.

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Diana of London 01 Nude Rose Super Matte Lipstick?
This particular shade did not suit my skin-tone very well as my skin is kind of fair but not very fair. But I would love to try the darker nudes from the range to find if something suits me.
Conclusion: The red from this range really impressed me but if you see then at Rs 725 you can get better lipsticks from better brands!
