Heylo Girls? What’s happening? I haven’t really bought any beauty product in a long time. So, I decided to go through my Bhabhi’s vanity bag.  It is then when I came across Diana of London Shimmer Touch Eyeshadow- 08 Copper Shimmer. I am not a big-time fan of vivid eyeshadows. I always prefer nude or light eyeshadows so that I can play heavy with my lip colors.  So, this beautiful shade of golden copper struck my eye and I decided to wear it for a party. Read on to find out how this product fared.

Product Description:

A single colour eyeshadow in a golden-copper shade with slight shimmer particles.

Packaging:

A small lightweight round compact case with a transparent lid. No mirror or applicator. Shade name along with other information is mentioned on the bottom of the case.

Price:

Rs. 675 for 8 gm.

Shade:  Copper Shimmer is a beautiful shade of gold with silver shimmer particles. A flattering shade for Indian skin tones. It doesn’t look too loud or garish.

Pigmentation:  Copper Shimmer is not richly pigmented, does not easily show up on eyes. The finger tip or brush needs to be swiped multiple times for the desired look.

How To Use:

Use wet sponge applicator for a very intense look and for a more natural look, use the sponge applicator dry and apply the powder over the entire upper eyelid.

My Experience with Diana of London Shimmer Touch Eyeshadow – Copper Shimmer:

Well, the colour is kind of sheer when applied dry. So, I decided to use a nude beige colour on my lids and I used this colour as a highlighter. I used it under my eyebrow’s arch. The result was great. I had to use my fingertips to use this eye shadow as no applicator is provided. The colour being very sheer, I had to use quite a bit of the eyeshadow for the colour to show on my eyelids. The staying power was quite average.

What I Like about Diana of London Shimmer Touch Eyeshadow – Copper Shimmer:

• Subtle golden shade.
• Good quantity.
• Good and soft texture.
• Can be used wet as well dry.
• No creasing.
• Its texture is soft unlike other baked shadows.
• Subtle shimmer.

What I Do Not Like about Diana of London Shimmer Touch Eyeshadow – Copper Shimmer:

• Expensive.
• Not easily available.
• No mirror or eye shadow brush is provided with it.
• Primer is required to be applied prior to the eyeshadow.
• Average staying power.
• Sheer colour – low color payoff.
• A lot of quantity required for application each time.

Final Verdict:

08- Copper shimmer is a beautiful subtle golden shade. The shimmer being not too much, the eye shadow does not look too garish or loud. The colour is too sheer, so a lot of quantity is required to be applied and actually shows on an Indian skin tone. The staying power is also quite average.

Not really, we do have better options in the market.
