I am here with another eyeshadow review from the brand Christian Dior – it is called Beige Massai in the number 705. This was used by my mum before I decided to take it away from her since it is a great eyeshadow – for a neutral look because of the warm tones of the colours. So, let’s find out what I thought of this product, shall we?

My Experience with Dior 5 Colour Eyeshadow – 705 Beige Massai:

The packaging of this Christian Dior Eye Shadow Palette, is a royal blue colour box with gold detailing. Dior is embossed on the top of this quad in gorgeous gold and looks luxurious. The palette comes with a mirror again, which is similar to all other Dior eyeshadow palettes, this is really handy as you can view your actions in the mirror when in a rush.  It is extremely travel friendly as well, since it is so slim and not bulky.

Let’s discuss the colours of this palette. As I mentioned above, it is a neutral palette with warm earthy tones. This sort of a colour spectrum is perfect for an every day natural-looking makeup. This is the main reason why I took it from my mother since I can achieve the no-makeup look so effectively with these colours.

Top colour:  This is a beautiful salmon-coloured eyeshadow, it is really soft and subtle. I would not say it has a matte and flat finish, it has a slight sheen to it which is lovely for an au naturale makeup look. The drawback of this colour is definitely the pigmentation, you definitely would need to swipe it 2-3 times for the colour to be clearly visible.  However like I said, for a natural look, it is perfect as it is great for blending in.

Right hand side colour:  This is a reddish brown sort of colour.  This too has a very subtle sheen to it, nothing over the top! But you can definitely build it up as per your preference. This can be used to create a smoky look for the eyes, I have done that in the past and it looks absolutely lovely.  It is so very easy to blend in and also compliments other colours on the palette and looks absolutely lovely. Out of all colours, I feel this and the middle colour (chocolatey brown) provide the best colour and have great pigmentation.

Bottom Colour:  This is a tan beige colour, the colour appears slightly flat as compared to the rest. It applies on relatively matte on the eye lids, nonetheless it is a great warm colour and is smooth to apply on the lids as well.  This also blends in really well and does not crease at all.

Left hand side colour:  This is a simple ivory colour, which is great for highlighting. It is pretty natural and is good to accentuate some parts. However, I prefer other highlighters with slightly more shimmer and sheen sort of a finish; like I prefer the highlighting shade in the Dior 5 couleur eyeshadow in 970. It has gold and pink diamond particles, which look lovely when used for highlighting.

Middle Colour:  This is a chocolatey brown colour, it has a shimmery finish, but not over the top as such, it is greatly pigmented and looks lovely when applied on the lids for a smoky and dramatic look. This blends in really well too and the colour is achieved with just two swipes, which is a great sigh of relief.

Overall, this palette has really pretty colours and almost all their colours are well pigmented (except the salmon). It is super versatile, as you are able to create soft everyday neutral looks or go for a dramatic smoky look with the help of the russet colour and chocolate brown colour.

• The colours are not flat, but have a subtle, not over the top sheen to it, which is great for a sophisticated look.
• These eyeshadows blend really well, which is great for natural or smoky looks.
• Do not crease.
• Great staying power.
• Would look great on warm-skin toned girls.

Cons of Dior 5 Colour Eyeshadow – 705 Beige Massai:

• Will not suit cool-skin toned girls that much, sadly.
• Could have had a better highlighter colour.
• Availability is a huge issue!

Would I Repurchase Dior 5 Colour Eyeshadow – 705 Beige Massai?

Yes, most definitely. This is one palette by Dior where the colours are mostly pigmented and are so perfect for creating everyday looks.
