I have been pestering my dad to get me makeup from abroad on his recent trip and he had a real bad time remembering the name of the brand I mentioned. So he handed over the phone to the lady at the Dior counter at Parkson and she kept on raving about the mascara newly launched. I had nothing much to say, so I said give one to my dad. The sad part of the story is he got this for my sister as she likes mascara and I was at my wits end! I hope he makes up his “sin” with some more makeup on his next trip.
Having said that I requested my sister to let me use it for a while and review it and she was kind enough to allow me do that. Not that she had much choice but anyways…

My experience with Dior Addict It Lash Mascara

The packaging to begin with is luxurious. It is a shiny fat square tube with a silver ball head and the name written on the body. The outer paper carton has the details of the product. Gorgeous is the word that comes to mind at first glance. But it is chubby compared to other mascaras I have used and hence will eat up a little bit more space in your makeup pouch.

I believe it is the wand that makes a huge difference in the way a mascara performs. This one has medium sized bristles which are ideal to coat the upper and lower lashes. I am not a person to use different mascara for the upper and lower lashes, hence the medium size perfectly suits my need. The bristles are so placed that I was not able to swatch them on my hand.

The color is jet black and is very highly pigmented. One coat of the mascara is enough to define the lashes perfectly. If you are looking for a more dramatic effect you can layer on. The trick is to wait before the first layer dries off completely. Else it might lead to spider lashes. This does not give any curling effect to the lashes and hence you have to curl your lashes first to get the perfect curls.
It stays as long as it is not removed with a makeup remover. I do remove eye makeup, especially mascara with plain water hence will not comment on that. Overall this is one no-fuss mascara with visible results. Considering the whooping expensive price tag I think this is a luxury item to get hold of. This is HG material and am sure anybody will like it on one go. But again the price is a huge deterrent.
