After a long journey through the makeup aisle looking for the perfect under eye concealer, I can say I am happy with this one. I tried so many different brands and products during the past years, I now have the exact idea of what I need.
Rs. 2000 approximately.
My Take on Diorskin Nude Concealer:
My under eye skin is quite dry, and I usually have purple-blue dark circles. Usually people look for heavy and very pigmented concealer, but that means they will also be too dry for my skin. However, if I try a very moisturising one, most of the time, it won’t have enough coverage to balance out the purple-blue darkness. I tried MAC, theBalm, Essence, Kiko, Rimmel, stick form, liquid, illuminating pens, but nothing was doing the trick until Diorskin n*de! I am using shade 02 beige, it’s a pinkish neutral colour, perfect to balance the dark purple-blue circles.
Dior claims that it’s a formula enriched with naturally derived skin care ingredients, for even more radiant beauty. They say also it leaves the feeling of bare skin. It should contain 33% water for long-lasting hydrating action all day, the light texture is like a skin care treatment for the eye contour area and blends into the skin without leaving a trace. Signs of fatigue disappear and the complexion regains its freshness and radiance, skin that is more beautiful and radiant day after day.
I love the consistency because it’s very hydrating, it doesn’t settle in the fine lines, it doesn’t cling on the dryness of the skin. I agree with the claim it does look very natural on, it’s not cakey or too heavy. It really leaves the skin with a bare feeling. I don’t think it does anything about a more radiant skin day after day.
When applied over foundation it gives the perfect coverage, with just a tiny amount. I tried using a blending brush, a concealer brush, sponges, but the way I prefer to put it on is with my fingers. I just squeeze a little tiny dot on the back of my hand and then I pat it with my ring finger under the eye, going towards the nose and also a little bit over the eyelid just to even out the colour. It is very easy to blend and there is no strict need to set it with powder. It lasts very well throughout the whole day. If I am very pale, the colour may look a little bit too orangey. When that happens, I go over the concealer with my foundation or with my setting powder.
I only spoke about using it for my under eye, I don’t think it is as good to cover imperfections of the skin like pimples or spots. I don’t have many and usually foundation is enough for me.
