Diorskin Nude Creme Gel Compact Review
I guess this product must be on top of your lust list/wish list. It was definitely on the top of my list 😛 There was another motivation too, I was hoping to get the lipstick square samples as GWP, I didn’t 🙁 but got lots of skin care samples, but you know, that’s just not enough 😛 Cream to powder formulas have always worked for me – the finish such formulas give on the skin is amazing. This compact also claims to go from gel creme texture to powder form upon application. Read on to know more 😛
This compact makeup provides a unique sensory experience with its ultra-light creme-gel texture that melts over the skin and transforms into a powder to offer a satiny finish and velvety softness for a nude skin effect.
Rs. 3900 for 10 gm.
I wasn’t able to capture the list in the pic, so writing it out here –

My Take on Diorskin Nude Creme Gel Compact:
This creme gel compact is one product that I have come to equally love as the Clinique Even Better Compact Foundation. There is a big price difference between the two compacts – the Clinique makeup compact costs Rs. 2100 whereas this Dior product is priced at Rs. 3900, but you know, in Dior’s case, I believe a lot of that percentage has gone into making the packaging pretty. The Dior compact is refillable, so when you go to pick up the refill, it will cost you much lesser.
Talking about the packaging, it’s a sturdy silver rectangular compact that comes in a velvet pouch. The compact has two partitions – one housing the product at the bottom and there’s a separation with a plastic lid which houses the sponge. There’s also a good-quality mirror provided. The sponge is very soft, but for me, it’s pretty useless, as I do not like to use sponges.
There are 6 shades available – Light Beige, Ivory, Medium Beige, Honey Beige, Dark Beige, and 070. It’s a task finding the correct match. At first, I had picked up Dark Beige, but the SA convinced me to pick a shade lighter because he said the shade would settle down after a few minutes (and it’s true). The shade I got is “Honey Beige.” Remarkably, there’s a nice and pleasant fragrance to the product – it’s very luxe and does not bother much.
Coming to the texture, when you touch the product, it feels creamy, but once you start applying, it becomes powdery and satiny. I totally love the transformation and I am a huge fan of such lightweight formulations. It evens out complexion and gives a luminous and radiant finish. I also notice that it makes the complexion bright.
The coverage is light to medium – does not cover acne scars fully, but then you get an even, natural, and radiant finish, I love that! If you have major acne scars and freckles to cover, this won’t help at all. Since it gives a powdery finish, the end result is matte complexion. It does not provide moisturization or hydration to the skin. Importantly, you would have to adequately moisturize your skin before you apply this creme gel compact because it emphasizes the dry patches on the skin and looks horrible when it sticks to the dry patches. I think it would be a wrong choice for dry skin. I use this gel creme compact with either a foundation brush or finger tips. You would get best results only if you blend it thoroughly into the skin. Sometimes, when the blending is not proper, I have seen it sitting on top of my skin.
I have also noticed that it does not require setting with a loose powder because it does not transfer much. It looks natural, does not look cakey.
Another big plus point, it has SPF 20 PA +++, in summers, it’s a big relief when you use products that protect your skin against the harmful effects of sun.
I have oily, acne-prone, and sensitive skin type, and it has never broken me out or irritated my skin in any way. Wearing a primer underneath does help in keeping it fresh for longer hours. I would advise those with dry skin to first test it thoroughly at the counter, I want to stress on the fact that it clings to dry skin.
Overall, I am loving it because it gives me a natural, even, and matte finish. I am loving it in this weather when I get oil-free face for around 4 hours.
Summing up the pros and cons:
Pros of Diorskin Nude Creme Gel Compact:
- Gives an even, luminous, and radiant finish.
- Lightweight texture.
- Transforms from gel creme texture to powdery and satiny finish upon contact with the skin.
- Gives a natural and matte texture.
- Keeps skin oil free for 4 and more hours.
- Light to medium coverage.
- Attractive packaging.
- Does not cause break outs on acne prone/sensitive skin.
- Does not transfer much to phone screens.
- Comes with SPF 20 PA +++
Cons of Diorskin Nude Creme Gel Compact:
- Only 6 shades are available.
- Does not cover major skin flaws.
- Emphasizes dry patches on the skin, might not be suitable for dry skin.
- Not a full coverage product.
Would I Recommend Diorskin Nude Creme Gel Compact?
It’s a big task finding the right match for your skin tone. If you are able to find your match, make sure to thoroughly moisturize your skin. I would advise dry skin people to stay away.

Princy *hunterwali* *hunterwali* i will exchange it for all the perfumes your dad bought for you *jalwa* As I mentioned in the review, the compact is 10 gm in quantity – i just need a little bit each time – a few dots here and there and then blend it well. I don’t use it every day, only when I go out – that way it would last me for a year and a half i think or even more. The shelf life is 3 years. I always forget my password on instagram princy, I do not login often *nababana*
