DIY 3-Ingredient Gel Face Pack for Hydrated and Glowing skin

Greetings everyone,

How is summer treating you so far? I am here with a refreshing DIY gel face pack which is perfect for summer. I use this face pack when I am in a hurry or feeling lazy. This face pack gets prepared within two minutes, just like instant noodles. It provides my skin with a subtle glow and makes it look plump, hydrated and bouncy. It is also effective in soothing sunburn. I totally love the effects of this face pack on my skin.

Ingredients and their benefits:

Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe vera gel is widely used in many skin care products. You can either use fresh aloe vera gel or buy one from the market. Aloe vera keeps your skin moisturised as it retains the water in your skin. It will not make your skin feel greasy; instead, it will make it plump and soft. Aloe vera gel has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties because of which it helps in treating mild acne and their scars. It helps in lightening the skin tone and improves the texture as well. In short, use of aloe vera gel provides skin nourishment, hydration, and a healthy glow.

Milk Powder
Milk powder contains fats in a concentrated form, which helps in moisturising your skin efficiently. It keeps your skin hydrated and provides all the nutrients that are necessary for it to remain healthy. Milk powder has a high amount of lactic and malic acid; these acids make your skin plump and hydrated. Milk powder also lightens the skin tone and makes it even-toned. Apart from this, milk powder also contains alpha hydroxyl acid, which helps in exfoliating the skin in a very gentle manner. This helps in revealing a softer and radiant skin.

Sugar
I used powdered white sugar in my pack but you may use brown sugar if you want. Powdered form provides the benefits of sugar but won’t give the feel of a sugar scrub. Apart from this, powdered sugar will not cause any irritation to the sensitive skin either. Sugar in your face pack will make your skin hydrated and moisturised. It is a natural source of glycolic acid that helps in increasing the cell turnover and gently exfoliates the skin.

How to prepare:

Step 1:
Take half teaspoon of powdered sugar in a bowl.

Step 2:
Add an equal amount of milk powder to powdered sugar. Give it a rough mix.

Step 3:
Add a tablespoon of aloe vera gel. Mix all the ingredients together very well to form a paste with a smooth consistency.

How to apply:

Step 1: Cleanse your face properly and pat dry.
Step 2: Apply this face pack evenly on your face and neck area. Let it sit for 20 minutes.
Step 3: After 20 minutes, wash it off with lukewarm to normal water.
Step 4: Don’t forget to moisturise your skin afterwards.

Note:

1. If you have super sensitive skin, go easy on sugar as it may irritate your skin. Alternatively, you can increase the content of milk powder a little.
2. Do not go overboard with sugar or milk powder, otherwise, it will make your face pack watery instead of gel-like.
3. Do a patch test for sure.
4. Keep aloe vera gel in the refrigerator for around 15 minutes before making this face pack.
5. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients used in the face pack, do not try this.
6. You can use this face pack as per your convenience.
