DIY Bengal Gram Face and Body Scrub for a Gorgeous Glow

I have been pampering my skin with Bengal gram since my childhood. When I was a kid, my mum used to apply a pack made with Bengal gram on my body and it would actually work wonderfully. This amazing ingredient offers so many beauty benefits but is primarily used as a cleanser. I have prepared two scrubs with Bengal gram as the base ingredient. The scrubs are excellent for monsoons as they keep infections and pimples away. Also, these are perfect for all skin types. So if you too want a clear, smooth and radiant skin, definitely give these scrubs a try. These scrubs are also perfect for the brides-to-be as they bring the glow of the skin back.

DIY Bengal Gram Face and Body Scrub for a Gorgeous Glow Ingredients

⦁ Bengal gram
Aloe vera
⦁ Lemon

⦁ First, take some turmeric powder and add ½ spoon of aloe vera gel to it. Mix these ingredients nicely.

⦁ Now make a thick paste of Bengal gram. The paste should neither be extremely smooth nor too rough. It should be of medium consistency so that it works nicely as a scrub. Then, add 1 tablespoon of Bengal gram paste and mix everything well.

⦁ After that, add a few drops of lemon juice and finally combine all the ingredients nicely. Your face scrub is ready to be used now.

Apply this face scrub directly on your face and gently exfoliate your skin. It is very gentle for the skin. Keep it on the face like a face pack for around ten minutes, and then rinse it with normal water.

Body Scrub

⦁ Bengal gram
Olive oil
⦁ Sugar
⦁ Turmeric

⦁ Take 1-2 spoon of sugar in a bowl and add 1 spoon of oil to it. Mix them nicely.

⦁ Then add 1/3 spoon of turmeric and combine all of these ingredients.

⦁ Finally, add 1-2 tablespoons of Bengal gram and combine all the ingredients smoothly. If the consistency feels too thick then add some olive oil. The quantity of sugar and Bengal gram should be in the ratio of 1:1. Your body scrub is now ready.

Apply this scrub on your whole body and gently massage it to exfoliate. Don’t scrub your skin too harshly with it; gently exfoliate your skin for 10 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.

⦁ Bengal Gram
Bengal gram offers so many skin benefits. It treats pimples and acne very well. It makes the skin clear and removes all the excess oil. It acts as a nice scrub by removing all the whiteheads and blackheads from the skin. Hence, it makes skin clear. It makes skin radiant, glowy and smooth without making it dry.
⦁ Turmeric
Turmeric is an antibacterial agent. Turmeric helps to heal acne and lightens skin. Also, it helps delay the signs of ageing.
⦁ Aloe Vera
Aloe vera reduces acne, inflammation and redness of the skin to a great extent. Aloe vera lightens the skin and shows quick results. It is a great ingredient that keeps the skin hydrated.
⦁ Lemon
Lemon juice contains citric acid which gradually fades spots and evens out our skin tone. Lemon’s antibacterial and antifungal properties make it a natural ingredient to treat acne.
⦁ Olive Oil
It is extremely moisturising for the body. It makes skin smooth, soft and glowing. It can treat any dry patches.
⦁ Sugar
Its fine texture gently exfoliates the skin and it also has glycolic properties to it.
