DIY Cleansing and Moisturising Body Scrub for Winter

During this dry season, scrubbing is really important to keep the skin smooth and fresh. As I have dry body parts, a moisturising scrub is essential for me. We all love coffee to use as a scrub for our skin. So today, I prepared a body scrub with coffee as the main ingredient and added some other ingredients to make it a perfect scrub for winter. It is good for all the skin types and super easy to do with kitchen’s ingredients. Now, let’s get into the details.

Ingredients:

Coffee: It exfoliates dry skin and makes it feel silky smooth. It effectively removes dry and dead skin cells and gives a polish texture to the skin. It is a rich source of antioxidants that keep skin youthful and healthy. It enhances blood circulation and removes dirt from the skin. It keeps skin soft and nourished.

Curd: Curd is an ingredient which keeps skin extremely moisturized. It is a hydrating exfoliator that removes dead skin cells. Curd fights against pimples and acne too. It reduces blemishes and works as a spot cleanser. It makes skin healthy and glowing.

Turmeric: Turmeric is an antibacterial agent. Turmeric helps to heal acne, as well as keeps the skin look young and fresh. It has natural skin brightening properties that provide a healthy glow. It contains many antioxidants; it is great for ageing skin.

Olive Oil: Olive oil is extremely moisturizing and provides deep nourishment to the skin. It’s rich antioxidant properties keep skin youthful and healthy. It cures dryness and repairs the skin texture to make it smooth, soft and glowing. It suits most of the skin types.

Procedure:

1. First, take 2-3 tablespoons (according to your requirement) of curd in a bowl and blend the curd well to make it smooth like a cream.

2. Next, add 1 spoon of turmeric powder to it and combine them well.

3. Then add 2 tablespoons of coffee powder to the bowl and mix the ingredients. Make sure the consistency remains creamy and it should be blended well.

4. Finally, add 1 spoon of olive oil and mix that well with the mixture.

5. Body Scrub is ready to use now.

6. Apply it directly on your body and gently massage it for few minutes to clean your body. Then rinse it off. You can store it for 5 days in a refrigerator. It might dry out like a coffee dust, but you have to add some rose water and use it smoothly.

Benefit:

This is a moisturising scrub which helps to make the skin clear and fresh without making it dry. Coffee garnets exfoliate the skin deeply and remove all the dead cells from it. It removes the dry rough texture from the skin and makes it softer, smoother and healthier. It always works well to me and helps to retain the moisture in the skin. Basically, this scrub acts like a market available scrub and provides a smooth clear skin. The other ingredients help to provide deep nourishment to the skin and the softness lasts so long. Olive oil moisturizes the skin deeply, that is perfect for winter. The scrub adds a bright fresh glow to the skin as well.
