DIY: Face Masks For Winters

Delhi has extreme weathers – too hot and too cold. I can feel a slight chill in air, as winters are approaching. My skin is already dry and flaky and needs lot of moisturisation.

We all spend lot of money on Winter Skin Care products, but sometimes all we need to do is go to our kitchen, look around and we can find so many ingredients which can be used to prepare Homemade Face Masks.

Homemade Face Masks and Packs require no extra money and they don’t have any side-effects and if used regularly can do wonders for our skin.

So here are few tips and DIY Face Packs especially for our dry skin in winters.

Oatmeal, Almond and Lemon Face Pack:

Oatmeal suits all skin types. It has tons of benefits. It can be used a cleanser and a scrub too.

Ingredients: Oatmeal, Lemon juice and Almonds.

Procedure: Take all 3 ingredients and make a fine paste by blending them in the mixer with some water. Apply this paste on your face and neck. Leave this paste for 15 minutes and wash your face with cold water.

Benefits: This pack leaves our skin super smooth and silky. You can use it once or twice a week for maximum benefits.

Almond and Aloe Vera Face Pack for Dry Skin:

Ingredients: Almonds and Aloe Vera gel.

Procedure: Soak around 10 almonds in water and leave them overnight. Next day grind them and make a fine paste and mix it with aloe vera gel. Leave this pack on your face for 15-20 minutes and wash with cold water.

Benefits: This pack will act as a natural moisturiser for your skin.

Oatmeal and Rose Water Face Pack:

Ingredients: Oatmeal, Rose water and Honey.

Procedure: Blend the oatmeal and honey together and add rosewater to it. Apply this pack on your face for 15 minutes and wash your face with cold water.

Benefits: This face pack will rejuvenate your face, removes all the impurities and regular usage will give your face a healthy glow.

Carrot and Honey Face Mask:

Ingredients: Blended carrots and Honey.

Procedure: Mix them both together. Apply on your face and later wash with cold water.

Benefits: This mask lightens the dark skin and helps in treating dry skin during winters.

Skin Care Essentials in Winters:

  • Use aloe vera on your skin, it’s a natural moisturiser which keeps our skin from drying out.
  • Even when we can’t see the sun, the UVA and UVB rays can still harm your skin, so always use a sun-screen.
  • Avoid using hot water for bathing, go for lukewarm water instead enriched with herbal oil such as tea tree oil to make up for the loss of moisture.
  • Opt for a lip balm enriched with Vitamin E to take care of your chapped lips.
