The best thing about DIYs is that you can customise the product you are making according to your personal needs. If you have oily skin, you can add in some apple cider vinegar. If you have acne prone skin, you can replace lavender oil with tea tree oil . I surely recommend doing a patch test to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients. 🙂

• Water
• Rosewater
• 1 tbsp aloe Vera gel
• 2 capsules of vitamin E oil
• Lavender oil (or any essential oil of your choice)
• A spray bottle

Step 1 : Take 100 ml of drinking water in a pan and bring it to boil. Once it starts boiling, turn the gas off and let the water cool for a while. Now, fill one-fourth of your spray bottle with this water.

Step 2 : Now, fill some rose water in the spray bottle. There is as such no specific quantity, you can fill as much as you want, but don’t fill the entire spray bottle. At least keep half of the bottle empty.

Well, just to show I sprayed it on some roses, but you are supposed to stay it in your skin! 😛 It has a mild fragrance to it, mainly of the lavender oil. I spray it on all parts of my face (avoiding the eye area) and then spread it evenly with clean fingers or cotton. It dries up within seconds leaving behind a fresh and hydrated skin!

Benefits:
This face mists is a boon for someone like me, who needs a tad bit of moisture on their face always. It has aloe vera gel which provides moisture and freshness to face. Vitamin E oil provides a glowing radiant skin. Lavender oil is effective against skin inflammations. Rose water acts as a toner and freshens up your skin. I love using it in the morning after I splash my face with water as it keep my face hydrated until I take a bath.

It does a good job and my face doesn’t feel dry and itchy for a long time. However, don’t expect it to replace moisturiser from your skin care routine. This is good for summers and can also be used as a base for your makeup. I, overall, love this and will surely recommend you to give it a go. It has a shelf life of almost one to one and a half months, if kept refrigerated.

Hope you all are making the best out of your summer! Though, it’s super hot these days, enjoy the sunshine and wait for the rains to arrive as we are really going to miss these blissful sunny days during the harsh winters!

Have a lovely day ahead! xoxo

  1. I swear by rose water! It has improved my complexion and skin a lot, but it sometimes leaves my skin a bit dry. Would love to add these ingredients to it. 🙂
