DIY – Makeup Remover for Heavy Makeup Days

We all need a good makeup remover for our daily use. But on the heavy makeup days, it becomes really very difficult to remove all the makeup easily. Continuous rubbing of your skin can damage it too. Most of the effective makeup removers like Bioderma, Avene, etc are so expensive and not all can afford them. So here is a DIY solution!

Ingredients:

• Olive oil: Olive oil is very rich in vitamins, minerals and natural fatty acids. It provides deep moisturization and keeps skin hydrated. As it is rich in antioxidant, it works as an antiageing ingredient too. Its superoily thick texture helps to remove all the heavy makeup easily without any extra efforts.
• Coconut milk: Like the coconut oil, coconut milk also acts as a great makeup remover. It is very thick creamy in consistency and it provides deep nourishment to skin. Its slippery creamy texture helps to remove the waterproof makeup easily. It also cleans the skin deeply and keeps it dreamy soft for long.
• Aloe vera: Aloe vera is very soothing in nature. Its anti-inflammatory property helps to reduce acne greatly. It reduces inflammation and redness of the skin to a great extent. It also prevents the outburst of acne and pimples. I have added aloe vera gel as it instantly provides a great relief from any redness or irritation caused after rubbing.

Procedure:

Step 1: Put 1½ tablespoons of coconut milk in a bowl. Use fresh creamy coconut milk for this recipe.

Step 2: Add 1½ tablespoons of pure olive oil to the coconut milk.

Step 3: Now add ½ spoon of aloe vera gel into that mixture.

Step 4: Now combine all the ingredients nicely and make a smooth fine paste. You can store this mixture in an empty jar for further uses.

Step 5: Now take a cotton pad and soak it in the mixture. Gently clean all the makeup from face. And after removing all the makeup, wash your face.

Here I have used all waterproof makeup. I have used Maybelline EyeStudio gel liner, waterproof lipliner, L.A. Splash liquid lipstick and Maybelline pink alert Pow4. All the products are totally waterproof. It took extra time to remove the liquid lipstick. This lipstick is the most difficult to remove with my normal remover, but it comes off with this DIY makeup remover after few rubs.

Conclusion:
This makeup remover works on all skin types. I have combination skin during winter and it works great on my skin. It never breaks me out. This is an all-natural DIY and I highly recommend this. Apart from removing makeup, all the good ingredients will work on your skin to add glow!
