I am so excited to write for IMBB, I just cannot control my excitement. I am happy, nervous, elated and what not, I have been following this blog for a long time and found reviews of almost every product whether skin care or makeup. I just love body lotions and body butters so much.  Anyway, coming to the point, today I am going to review one of my most favourite and most used body lotions given to me as a gift from my sister. Its Donna Karan Cashmere Mist body lotion.  Read on to know more about this beauty:

Product Description:

Inspired by the soft, sensual feeling of cashmere against bare skin. Cashmere Mist is a fragrance light enough to wear all over your body, all year long. It seduces the senses – skin, scent, and spirit.

Notes:

Lily of the Valley, Suede Notes, Bergamot, Ylang, Jasmine Maroc, Sandalwood, Orris, Amber, Vanilla, Cedar wood, Patchouli, Musk.
Style:  Sensual, Intimate, Soft.

Packaging:

The product comes in big plastic tube. The product comes out easily and hence no wastage. The packaging is travel friendly and not at all bulky. The tube is opaque.

Price:

Though I got it as a gift, but according to Donna Karan website, it costs 48$ for 100 ml.

Texture:

The lotion is neither runny nor thick but it is rather of a smooth consistency. It comes out easily on pressing the tube.

Fragrance:

It has a musky flowery fragrance but nothing overpowering. Its fragrance won’t give you headaches. In short, it has a pleasant, long-lasting scent. The fragrance may seem strong at first but believe me it is not that strong, rather it envelopes my body in its pleasant scent even if I change clothes too. It is a seductive kind of scent. Those who love fragrances like me will love this lotion too.

My Take on DKNY Cashmere Mist Body Lotion:

I absolutely love this lotion.  I have very dry skin and this lotion keeps my skin hydrated and supple. The lotion is pale white in colour. I am a fragrance freak, I like fragrances that last long and the fragrance of this lotion is exactly like that, I apply this lotion after bath and I can still smell the fragrance of this lotion when I go to bath next day, even my night clothes lingers with its fragrance, its fragrance is that much long lasting.

The lotion is not greasy, it gets absorbed easily in the skin and there is absolutely no need of reapplying. You will need only a little amount of it, as it spreads easily on the skin unlike some thick lotions which won’t spread easily and hence more quantity is required.  If it can work wonderfully for my extra dry skin, I am sure it will work wonderfully and much better for normal skinned people too.

Let’s sum up the pros and cons:

Pros of DKNY Cashmere Mist Body Lotion:

• It has amazing fragrance.
• Packaging is very classy.
• Very moisturizing and a good option for dry skin.
• Its fragrance is very long lasting and mild and sensuous.
• It is travel friendly and not all bulky.

Cons of DKNY Cashmere Mist Body Lotion:

• The tube is opaque, so can’t determine how much product is left.
• It is very expensive, hence not at all budget friendly.
• I am not sure of the availability, I doubt if it is available in India though the perfume of the same range is available but not this lotion.
• The quantity is very less as compared to the price, only 100 ml, but since it comes from DKNY brand, the lotion is ought to be expensive.

IMBB Rating:

4.8/5 because I just love this product so much for its fragrance, its texture, its packaging, everything is classy.

Do I Recommend/Will I Repurchase DKNY Cashmere Mist Body Lotion?

This lotion is amazing but I won’t tell anyone to buy this as it is very expensive. I am sure there are many options similar to this with a lesser price tag, so we can give them a try too. I am lucky to get it as a gift, otherwise I wouldn’t have bought this.
