My Experience With Maybelline Baby Lips Dr Rescue in Pink Me Up-40:
I have always loved the Maybelline Baby Lips range, so bought this one to help me with my chapped and dry lips. The lip balm color is a very nice, chic pink. As soon as you apply, it gives a cooling sensation, making you believe that the product is working on your lips and will keep your lips hydrated. It did worked, made my lips super soft, but it didnât last for 12 hours. If you have any meal, the lip balm goes off with it. Youâll need to reapply several times, in order to make your lips hydrated.
It made my lips feel greasy and heavy, which does not happen typically with Maybelline Baby Lips Balm. The color is good, but doesnât work on pigmented lips, rather the combination of pink and pigmented lips result in mauve colored lips. Itâs doesnât stay for long, nor does it spread on lips evenly. I didnât like the smell either, it smelt like âVicksâ for me. When I used it for the first time, I felt like I am applying some crayon on my lips, it has almost the same waxy texture.
Overall I am disappointed with the product, it doesnât satisfy my needs nor stood for the claims made. It might work well on people with natural non-pigmented lips. But when there are many other cute and better lip balms in the market, it is waste of money to buy something like this.
Pros of Maybelline Baby Lips Dr Rescue in Pink Me Up-40:
- Typical Maybelline Baby Lips packaging, with the only difference being the white background to mark the âDr Rescueâ variant.
- Available in 6 shades.
- Gives immediate smoothing effect.
- This particular color is very attractive if applied on naturally pink lips.
- Reasonably priced.
Cons of Maybelline Baby Lips Dr Rescue in Pink Me Up-40:
- Looks tacky on pigmented lips.
- Doesnât stay for 12 hours as promised.
- Spreads unevenly on lips.
- Smells like vicks.
Would I Recommend Maybelline Baby Lips Dr Rescue in Pink Me Up-40?
NO!!! There are many other good lip balms from the same brand for this price. I might try this range if I get it in nude shade. I would recommend it to someone only if they have naturally pink lips.
