Dolce & Gabbana Intense Nail Lacquer – Gentle 140 Review

Hello everybody!

My friends gifted me two shades from the Dolce & Gabbana Intense Nail Lacquer range. I have already reviewed Caramel 120. Let’s know more about shade Gentle 140.

How to use:
To create a fashion forward manicure, select a duo of complementing or contrasting Dolce & Gabbana nail lacquers, using one shade as a base, and a different colour on the tip. Apply matte top lacquer to the nail tip over a glossy lacquer, or vice versa, the creative options are endless.

My Experience with Dolce & Gabbana Intense Nail Lacquer – Gentle 140:

Packaging: Dolce & Gabbana intense nail lacquer comes in an elegant glass bottle with a black-coloured plastic cap with DG written on it and a gold-colour outer cap with Dolce & Gabbana written on it, packed in a black-coloured cardboard box.

This is a gel-based formula, with a smooth texture. This shade belongs to the brown colour family and is a cordovan colour. Gentle shade is inspired by the unique and delicate neutrals coming down the brand’s runways. This shade is suitable for regular wear and the rich look of the lacquer enables me to use it for special occasions. Two to three swipes of this shade are required to get an opaque finish. Rich formulation of this shade gives full coverage, colour rich manicure, glossy effect and natural shine to the nails. This shade is long lasting, chip-resistant and fade-resistant; however, it tends to chip at the tips, if not applied carefully. It is smooth to apply, but takes time to dry. In my opinion, it is a sophisticated shade which gives an even smooth look to my nails and a delicate look to my hands.

As the name suggests, this shade is gentle and gives a perfect look to my hands. In my opinion, this shade is suitable for all skin tones. The expertly designed brush is made to work seamlessly with Dolce & Gabbana’s high performance nail formulations with minimal streaking. However, there is a disadvantage of this broad brush; if your nail shape is narrow, polish tends to spread on the side of the nails and also get into cuticles. I like the concept of a smaller cap for the brush which makes it convenient to hold the brush between fingers while applying polish.

Pros of Dolce & Gabbana Intense Nail Lacquer – Gentle 140:

• High performance, colour rich nail formulation is smooth to apply and gives full coverage.
• Smaller cap for the brush makes it easy to hold and enables easy application.
• Expertly designed rounded brush enables smooth, streak-free application.
• Ergonomic design of a shorter wand prevents formulation from dripping.

Cons of Dolce & Gabbana Intense Nail Lacquer – Gentle 140:

• In my opinion, none except the price.
