My Experience with Dolce Gabbana The Concealer

I absolutely love Dolce Gabbana Makeup. I don’t have a single product from the line that has flaws in it. This is for the first time I am using their base makeup. I am already obsessed with Dolce Gabbana Foundation, this concealer is no different.

Although the claim says that it is ideal for those with oily skin. I have dry skin and this concealer is perfection in a tube.

The packaging is beautiful and minimal. There is a transparent matte tube and a gorgeous doe tip applicator with brand’s name embossed on it. Simple twist cap. Effective and useful. The doe tip applicator feels soft ad gentle on the skin.

The consistency of the concealer is creamy. It feels light on the skin.

It has medium pigmentation. But what I like the most is that it can be built up to a full coverage concealer on layering and it does not look cakey at all. If you are someone like me who has dry skin, make sure that you apply eye cream underneath or else it may feel a bit drying.

It is a matte finish concealer- like super matte. I like my under eye area to be matte always and this concealer only makes things easier for me. Plus, this is great for concealing blemishes/scars because it provides good coverage yet looking very natural on the skin.

The staying power is incredible. I have been using it so much for day to day basis and it has not faded even after 7-8 hour of wear.

The doe tip applicator is gentle on the under eye area. I dot the concealer and then pat with either with a sponge or finger tips. Works either ways. You have to work quickly with this concealer because it sets faster as compared to the other concealers I have in my kit.

There is no fragrance. It has never irritated my skin or eyes. It does not crease. Nor does it settle in fine lines. And it does not feel dry as well. You don’t need a ton of product per application. A little goes a long way.

Comes in 6 shades that include very light and very dark shades as well. I use it in a shade 4 Caramel, which is slightly lighter for my skin tone. It works brilliant for my under eye area. Adds just the right amount of brightness without looking whitish.

Absolutely zero complaints with this concealer. Love love love it!

If you can’t get hold of Dolce Gabbana concealer, I find it a very close companion to NARS Creamy Concealer.
