So here’s another product from the Dolce& Gabbana gift set – After Shave Balm.

I have no idea about these after shave balms, how they smell, neither their texture nor the purpose. I only understand that it is used after the shave 😛

Anyways so like it happened, My friend picked up this D&G gift sets for us while returning back to India and mistakenly had picked the Men’s gift set which she didn’t realize till I told her (she didn’t even look for it while she gave it to me , sad right??) So this went to my dad and this review is from his experience with the product.

What the Dolce and Gabbana website claims:

An easily absorbed balm for use upon completion of your normal shaving routine. Smooth on this intensely soothing fluid to pacify shave irritated skin and scent it with the woody fragrance of The One.
The One for Men perfectly reflects the Dolce & Gabbana man: charismatic and seductive, elegant and sophisticated, he loves taking care of himself.

Top Notes: bergamot, coriander and basil.
Heart Notes: cardamom, ginger and neroli.
Base Notes: cedar, ambergris and tobacco 😛

My dad’s experience with Dolce and Gabbana The one balm:

My dad isn’t a great fan of these after shave balms or lotions. So when I gave him this and asked him to try it out, he wasn’t completely sure if he would like it or even use it. And guess what, very recently he asked me if I could get him one more it. He told me its top class!

Packaging: The Product comes in a dark chocolate brown tube with a silver screw cap. It looks super sexy to me. Total gift material types. So gals, who are looking for something to gift their dad’s and especially boyfriends, do check them out. They will love the packaging and the contents inside for sure!
Texture: I do not know how the after shave balms or lotions are. But this one has a little runny texture but very watery consistency. It spreads evenly and within no time disappears into skin in a jiffy. It somewhat resembles the Veet body lotion for me. The balm is white in color.

 

Whatever it is, it smells amazing. This is the first after shave balm which has notes like perfumes I guess. Never seen this anywhere. The notes are mostly woody and spicy. It smells a little woody and little musky to me. I totally love the smell. But I should say, this would a perfect gift to your loved ones on special occasions.

My dad told me it works pretty well as an after shave balm!

Pros of Dolce & Gabbana –The One After Shave Balm:

• Smells Great!
• Perfect gifting material… I had gifted one more of this recently to another friend who totally loves it now. Oh by the way, he is hard to please. So I can assure you, Guys will love it.
• Spreads easily. You would require very less amount each time. So a 100ml tube will last you really really long!

Cons of Dolce & Gabbana –The One After Shave Balm:

• Expensive!!
• Have only seen them in the gift sets. So I am not sure if you can find this alone separately.
• Availability
• No ingredient’s list mentioned.

I would surely purchase another gift set to gift someone. And I would definitely suggest this. The best smelling gift you can ever give a guy!
