My experience with Dove Advanced Hair Series Oxygen Moisture Shampoo:

I have straight, fine hair which lacks volume and lies flat! So I am always on the lookout for shampoos which promise that extra volume! When Dove, one of my favorite brands, released their ‘Advanced Hair Series’, I immediately picked up the Oxygen Moisture Shampoo and the corresponding conditioner. The Oxygen Moisture range is meant for ‘fine, flat hair’. Yes, that is me!

The shampoo comes in a very aesthetically pleasing, blue and white bottle. The blue section is actually translucent and you can see how much product is left in the bottle. The bottle has a blue flip cap which closes tightly and can be carried along while travelling without worrying about spills.

The shampoo is a very, very pale blue in color and is translucent. It has a gel like consistency, which makes it a little bit difficult to spread it on the hair. I find that I need to use more product with this shampoo as compared to other shampoos. The shampoo produces a decent amount of foam, not too much nor too less.

The shampoo has a very pleasing mild floral scent! All Dove products have lovely scents and this one is no exception. I love the scent of this shampoo. The scent lasts on the hair for at least a day and fades after that.

Though it takes some effort in spreading the shampoo in the hair, it cleans really well. My scalp feels clean and fresh. There is no greasiness or residue left behind. This shampoo did not irritate my scalp or cause any hair fall.

As for the main claim of this shampoo, i.e. volume – The shampoo claims to provide up to 95% more body & fullness. The key here is ‘up to’! Obviously, this is a very tall claim! It does not give me 95% volume, but I do get a really good amount of volume, much more than I expected! The shampoo makes my hair appear non-frizzy, smooth and bouncy. The effect lasts for two days, which is something that is new to me! Any volume/frizz control provided by most shampoos that I have used so far last only for one day. But the effect provided by this shampoo lasts for two days. I am so happy with it!

Pros of Dove Advanced Hair Series Oxygen Moisture Shampoo:

 Adds a good amount of volume and bounce to the hair
 The effect last for at least two days
 Cleans the scalp well
 Keeps hair looking moisturized without any greasiness
 Controls frizz well
 Does not cause hair fall
 Smells really good

Cons of Dove Advanced Hair Series Oxygen Moisture Shampoo:

 The shampoo has a gel like consistency which makes it difficult to spread and needs more product than regular shampoos
 Not yet available in India

IMBB Rating:

Yes, I would recommend this shampoo to anyone with fine hair who needs more volume.
