Dove has recently launched a new range called Environmental Defence. I have already reviewed the shampoo and today, I am going to share my views on Environmental Defence Conditioner. Let’s get into the review.

My Experience with Dove Environmental Defence Conditioner:

Like all other Dove conditioners, it comes in a nice white reverse styled bottle with a green flip flop cap that is safe as well. The nozzle dispenses out a perfect amount of product and it never messes around the cap. It also comes in various size options which are easy to carry around. I really like this packaging; it’s simple and nice.

The conditioner has that usual thick creamy white consistency that glides so smoothly on hair. Like the name suggests, it has a very fresh pleasant natural smell and I really like such kind of fragrance.

The conditioner doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on hair; hence, it feels light and fresh and never irritates my scalp. Also, it is so easy to rinse off. A small amount is enough for my long hair. It reaches between my hair well and helps to detangles them easily without any extra effort. I like the way how easily it makes my hair smooth and silky. I have pretty oily scalp with limp hair, so I always need some volume and try to avoid such products which make hair limp. But, the conditioner keeps the hair bouncy and never weighs down my style as well. It keeps hair fresh and healthy throughout the day.

As a damage repair conditioner, it provides good hydration to hair which keeps hair soft and smooth. I don’t have super dry hair but I can feel that it will work well on dry hair too. It protects hair well and helps to repair the daily damaged by pollution. I mean, whenever I used it, I feel good and my hair looks healthy. It works well to repair rough texture and convert that into a smooth silky texture. But, I honestly didn’t notice any huge shine by using this. We need some shine too for lifeless hair but it is a decent one for that.

Yet, it never makes my hair look dull or frizzy. It keeps hair manageable and frizz-less but by the end of the day, it becomes a little frizzy again. It happens only when I keep my hair open. Otherwise, it works well on my normal hair. I don’t have frizzy hair, so if you have serious frizzy hair then it might not be enough for you.

Also, I haven’t noticed any extra hair fall after using this but it can’t control hair fall either. I have been using it for over a month and I didn’t notice any huge long-term changes. Like it says, it can protect hair from breakage and hair fall but I haven’t noticed anything like that.

Overall, this is a nice fresh conditioner for daily usage that works well on my normal hair and helps to keep hair smooth and manageable. It definitely repairs rough texture and makes hair healthy. Though it can’t provide any long-lasting effects on hair, so it’s not really the best one for seriously damaged hair but at this affordable price, it is a good product.
