My Experience with Dove Firming Intensive Gel Cream:

The gel-cream comes in an eggshell colored tube packaging with a flip cap. The tube is similar to the old dove conditioners. I initially mistook this to be a conditioner! The flip cap closes with a click and there is no leakage. I like the tube packaging over the traditional one as it is easy to store upside down and the product comes easily when squeezed.

The lotion is foamy and is white in color with a hint of teal. It is creamy and gel-like in texture. The smell is not great and I do not like it. The gel crème spreads very easily and gets absorbed fast. It spreads like water on the skin and is very smooth. It doesn’t leave any greasy residue on the skin. In fact, it doesn’t leave any residue.

Each and other ounce is completely sucked by the skin. It feels very fresh instantly and adds a fresh feel to the skin. The product, even though has to be used for problem areas, I use the gel completely on my skin. The product makes the skin soft and supple the moment it is applied but, since it gets absorbed pretty fast, I tend to use more than needed during a massage.

The claim of 24 hours nourishment is false. The lotion moisturizes the skin, eliminating all dryness for a good 6-8 hours, and after which a reapplication is needed for the thirsty skin. However, it doesn’t dry out the skin after 8 hours and this is something I love about the crème. The gel-crème soothes the skin very well.

I get allergies for a certain oil in fried foods and I get bumps on my body, which are itchy. This time, I applied this lotion and I felt a soothing icy feeling and it reduced the inflammation and itchiness to a certain extent. The product doesn’t cause any irritation or redness making it suitable for all skin types.

Coming to the property for which I bought the product: cellulite and firming. I have noticed my thighs and buttocks are well toned than before but I’ve noticed very slight change. There isn’t a lot of reduction in cellulite and I believe products that claim ‘cellulite reduction’ take a very-very long time!

I have been using the lotion for 3 weeks now and I do not see visible difference in the problem areas. The lotion does improve elasticity of the skin. I believe I need several tubes to really see the difference. The product seals in moisture and for now I am happy that it is toning my skin. I never believed in the cellulite reduction claim so I am not sad anyway!
