Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo Review

Hello beautiful ladies!
Today, I will review a product that I bought after seeing a television ad a few days ago. I have colored hair with smoothening which are not very thick. Whenever I use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner it does make my hair texture better, but it weighs my hair down. My hair feels limpy and lifeless making my face look oblong. This shampoo and conditioner range claims to be moisturizing while adding life to dull, dry hair with its Oxyfusion technology. So I bought both of them instantly and here I am with the shampoo review. Let’s see if the claims are true or not.

Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo

Restores smoothness, giving bouncy and thicker looking hair.

INR 176 for 180ml.

Packaging and Product Consistency: The shampoo comes in the signature white dove shampoo bottle but with a blue cap this time which adds a little chirpiness. The consistency of the shampoo is like a clear gel but with a very light tint of blue. The shampoo has a very pleasant smell.

My Experience with Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo:

Although I have bought both the shampoo and the conditioner from the oxygen moisture range, I preferred to use the shampoo alone just to see the effect it would have on my dull hair. The shampoo has a gel like consistency and I think due to this it does not lather much. I had to take almost twice quantity of the shampoo to work up a good lather. I don’t feel clean until I have lots of lather to rinse off. The most important and wonderful thing that I noticed while using this shampoo is that, my hair did not break as much as they do whenever I use moisturizing shampoos, including all other variants of dove shampoo.

After towel drying, my hair were smooth to touch, but a bit tangled so I left them for air drying without bothering them more as I was afraid of hair fall. After my hair were completely dry, I eased out the tangles slowly with a hairbrush and voila! My frizzy hair were easily manageable without much hair fall.

As for the volume , my hair were not limp; there was a natural bounce but not upto 90% as claimed. But definitely I was much happy with the appearance of my hair. My hair remained bouncy and clean for almost 2 days even with an oily scalp.

Pros of Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo:

• The pleasant smell.
• No hair fall.
• Does not makes hair limp.
• Gives a squeaky clean and fresh feel to the scalp.
• Economically priced.

Cons of Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo:

• A lot of product is needed to work up good lather.
• Makes hair a bit tangled when used without conditioner.

IMBB Rating: 4/5 It’s the perfect summer shampoo for dull hair.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo?
Yes, I think I will be using this shampoo this summer, until I find something new and better.

  1. This shampoo seems to be custom made for me :D. I have the same problem like you dear. Oily scalp, heavy dull hair, round face. Can’t use conditioner. So at the second day of washing my hair gets greasy and becomes limp. I’ll try this shampoo. Let’s see whether it rescue me or not. thanks for reviewing 🙂

    1. Yes, do use it, and even conditioner does not makes my hair limp or oily even on second day. so u can try that also…

  2. I have a normal scalp and frizzy hair. This shampoo might work well for me too considering it doesn’t weigh hair down, nor does it cause immense dryness. Well reviewed Richa 🙂
