Dove Rich Nourishment Cream Review

During the winters, I get really dry and itchy skin all over my body. I always stack up rich moisturizing creams during the harsh times, but the weather here in Netherlands is always cold, and thus a good cream is always needed. I bought this cream in January when the weather was very harsh and the store had a “buy one get one free” offer. Who doesn’t like 2 products at the price of one! So read on to know more about Dove Rich Nourishment Cream.

My Experience with Dove Rich Nourishment Cream:

My body gets really dry in winters even if I use the best lotions and Nivea creams have provided good moisturization. I always have a small tin in my bag for emergencies. While I was out to buy the same, I spotted this Dove rich nourishment cream. I tried the sample and I wanted to wait before I bought this. So I did all my shopping and after approximately 2.5 hours, I saw that my skin still looked hydrated and that is when I decided to buy the product. Luckily, by then, the store had announced a one plus one offer for all Dove products, and without thinking anymore, I bought this product.

The product comes in a dark blue plastic tub with a white screw cap. The packaging is common to many Dove creams. The cream is similar to Nivea creams but is thick, smooth and creamy. The smell is very similar to the other Dove products and is good. When applied, the product glides smoothly. But, as it is thick, it takes some time to get absorbed and is not very suitable for using it in on large body parts. The cream takes some time to get absorbed into the skin and it leaves a shine. I like it as my hands look moisturized, shiny and hydrated.

After 10-15 minutes, you can see that there is no greasy texture and the product is completely absorbed. The product makes the skin soft and smooth too. The product is a complete no-no for the face. It is very thick and it caused me breakouts within 2 days. It is very greasy for the face, but for elbows, hands, feet and knees, the product is a boon. The product is a perfect choice for harsh winters but it is not a year-round product. There are parabens in the product and a lot of ingredients, so if you are someone opting for an organic one, this is not for you.

• Can cause breakouts if applied on face
• Contains parabens and a lot of chemicals
• Can be used only for smaller body parts

Would I Repurchase Dove Rich Nourishment Cream?
No, I have 2 tubs with me and it will go for some time. I would want to try something else that’s suitable for my face too.
