Dr Jart+ Dermaclear Trans-Foam Clay in Refreshing Green Review

Skin type: Oily-sensitive, acne prone

Hello beauties!
Hope all of you are enjoying your days! Many of you might be preparing for Holi holidays, right? I remember I was in India last year and had an amazing time; Aadya enjoyed double pampering from her paternal & maternal family while I was busy preparing delicacies with my two moms. Anyway, let’s focus on today’s review, which is about the latest entry in my skin care regimen. Dr Jart+ is one of my staple brands which always finds its place in my stash. They recently released the ‘Trans-Foam Clay’ cleansers in three formulas: Calming White, Moisturizing Pink & Refreshing Green. Considering my skin type, I picked up the ‘Refreshing Green’ one. So, let’s read more about Dr Jart+ Dermaclear Tarns-Foam Clay in Refreshing Green today!

Dr Jart+ Dermaclear Trans-Foam Clay in Refreshing Green Review

Product Description:
What it is:
A triple functioning wash-off clay mask that transforms into a foaming cleanser upon application of water, removing excess oil while cleaning pores and exfoliating skin.

What it is formulated to do:
This innovative, multiaction Trans-Foam Clay in Refreshing Green is applied like a clay mask but transforms into a gentle foaming cleanser, removing makeup, absorbing oil, and detoxifying your skin. When splashed with water, the mineral-rich, green French clay lathers to a foam that brightens, tones, and removes dead skin cells for a fresh and healthy-looking complexion. Fine natural clay particles charged with hydrogen mineral water and other natural ingredients—including lemon grass, eucalyptus, and tea tree extracts—deeply cleanse pores and gently exfoliate. Suitable for acne-prone skin, the naturally dried clay controls excess sebum for skin that feels cool and refreshed.

My Experience with Dr Jart+ Dermaclear Trans-Foam Clay in Refreshing Green:

The clay comes in an opaque white tube packaging, similar to any toothpaste packaging; even the texture of the clay resembles a white toothpaste but it does not have a tingling and cooling sensation. It does have a mild minty fragrance, but nothing to be concerned about. I find it pretty user friendly & travel friendly, packaging wise.

tube

The thick granular wash green clay resembles TBS blue corn clay mask a lot sans the burning or tingling sensation. I mean, Dr Jart’s clay has a thick paste kind of a formula which spreads easily on my skin; it does not have any dripping consistency and is easily removable without creating any post-rinse mess. Considering I have acne prone, sensitive skin type, I have never felt any strong tingling or cooling sensation on my skin with this mask, though I can feel a mild cooling tinge.

back

I like the fact that it only needs my 5-7 minutes right from application to rinsing off; it is my go-to clay cleanser ,even for rush hours. I just apply it on skin and it stays put like a paste on my skin thereby drying within 3-4 minutes, just like any clay mask. It can then be washed with lukewarm water. However, it is a trans-foam clay cleanser which forms decent foamy lather on my skin upon coming in contact with water. It might feel slightly slimy at first to touch with damp fingers, but it soon dissolves into a white foam with gentle massage strokes on skin; don’t go overboard with this step as I know how tempting it is to keep on massaging this soft foam on skin.

packaging

My skin feels pretty soft and exfoliated when I remove the foamy clay through gentle massage strokes, which is then easily washable with water. Now I usually apply this mask at shower time, hence I don’t feel any inconvenience while removing it. But even if I use it post shower, I find it easy peasy unlike most clay masks. To be precise, it does not feel or behave as sticky as other clay masks do on my skin, plus it does not rip off natural radiance and hydration.

cap

My skin feels pretty soft and supple post wash, which means it does not feel stretchy or dry at all. I do feel a subtle redness on my face, but it subsides within minutes. By default I always get mild redness whenever I wash my face, hence it is not at all my concern. I am more concerned about the results which make it promising for my skin type such as: it dries down those acne & zits on my face and that it removes traces of dullness, oiliness and dirt without ripping off natural moisture & healthy radiance of my skin. Impressive, huh!

open

I am slightly disappointed with this deep cleansing clay as it seems ineffective for blackheads, though I can see that it refreshes my open large pores making them noticeably smaller. It also tells that it may not work on deep rooted blackheads, but it certainly removes the topical dirt & unclogs the pores up to a great extent. To sum it up, I think the clay transforming into foamy cleanser is not anything unique or must-try because any regular clay mask will do the same. But yes a soft, supple and radiant skin is unique, and that’s why I will get it again.

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of Dr Jart+ Dermaclear Trans-Foam Clay in Refreshing Green:

• An easily spreadable thick paste
• Suitable for oily, combination and acne prone skin
• Dries fast into a dry clay without causing any dryness on skin
• Neither aggravates nor accentuates dryness, blemishes or other issues
• Skin feels soft, supple and non-stretchy post wash
• Does not rip off natural moisture and radiance
• Effectively unclogs the pores while removing every trace of dirt, makeup, oil & dullness
• Effectively helps in controlling zits and blemishes with regular usage
• Mildly invigorates skin surface
• Forms mild foamy lather which gets rinsed off easily
• Does not feel abrasive on skin
• Quite user friendly and travel friendly concept

Cons of Dr Jart+ Dermaclear Trans-Foam Clay in Refreshing Green:

• I feel every regular clay mask helps in deep cleansing
• Does have a series of unnecessary chemicals
• Does not help with deep rooted blackheads or whiteheads
• Does not dry out my pimples overnight

Well, I think, I like it more for the ease of usage and mess free application. It leaves my skin soft and supple too. I would definitely like to get it again even though I know it is a common concept wrapped in new packaging and with new promises.
