I recently picked up a face mask and scrub from the newly-released Activated Charcoal range of Dr. Organic. Read on to know more about Dr Organic Activated Charcoal Deep Cleansing Face Scrub.

My Experience with Dr Organic Activated Charcoal Deep Cleansing Face Scrub:
The product comes in a stubby tube with a flip cap. The tube has simple highlights of black denoting the activated charcoal. The tube comes unsealed. I am not sure why certain products even though are from the same range come in a sealed box and some do not come that way! I wish they had at least applied a seal stamp. There is a lot of information on the product on the back and also on the website. There is no leakage and the product is travel friendly. There is a body wash, face wash shampoo and conditioner from this range. I picked up only the face scrub and mask.
The texture of the scrub is surprising. It has a medium thick consistency and is creamy watery! It is greyish green in color with very minute black granules. The smell is pleasant and fresh. It is easy to spread and apply on to the skin.
Activated charcoal is known for removing impurities and this scrub from Dr. Organic claims the same. The usage of the scrub is pretty basic. You just need to massage it onto clean face and then remove it with water or a damp cloth.
The granules in the scrub are very minute and do not feel harsh at all. This makes the scrub suitable for all skin types. I do not feel any redness or irritation. Due to the tiny granules, I doubt if it is working and doing its job. You feel minute friction with these granules when you use it near your nose or chin. I really have to work to remove the whiteheads from the corners of my nose.
I feel the scrub fails at removing blackhead and whiteheads. The product gently exfoliates skin removing all dead and dry skin from my skin effectively. The product cleanses pores from within, removing all oil and dirt present in the skin. Exfoliation adds a little glow to the face and brightens it up. The scrub also minimizes facial pores slightly.
With regular use, the scrub claims to tone skin and create a clear complexion. This scrub revives the skin. Due to its natural active ingredients, it can cause a little tingling effect on the skin. The scrub for me is very gentle and can be used every other day. When compared to the thick scrubs I use, this is very different. The product is free from paraben, sulfates, colorants and SLS which is great and is cruelty free! It is a good mask, not the best, but it does its job well.

- The granules do not work well on blackheads and whiteheads.
- The granules are very minute for a scrub and this passes off as a daily cleanser.
- Expensive for a face scrub.
